fastboot oem lock saved it. now i can keep custom recovery but i can't install anything as storage is encrypted. in order to decrypt it i need to format it and flash verify-xinkid file but MTP or sideload doesn't work. i can't get my phone recognised on PC when i'm at TWRP. if i boot into system i can transfer files, but everytime i boot to recovery i have to format whole storage in order to access internal memory.
Search on the russian 4pda. There is an encryption patch that works with power 3s. Start in recovery, flash the patch (from your sd card) and then format and restart. It will no longer ask for the decrition password and you can make and restore a backup. You also have to install magisks. If your sd card is not regognized for whatever reason. Restart the phone in fastboot and then flash the zips with adb. Then restart in recovery and format.
Put an external SD card and whatever zip you want.When you boot into twrp recovery and asks you for password,press cancel and twrp returns in the start screen.Then go to flash the zip from extSD and you are ok
that doesn't work JohnX. twrp gets encrypted on every boot. I have OTG cable and i'm able to install verify-xinkid (encryption patch) and superSU but when I boot it brings me back to recovery and it's encrypted again.
bootloader is unlocked through fastboot oem unlock option
OK,try to flash twrp and then if asking pass of encryption -> cancel -> advanced wipe -> sd card and check only data -> repair or change file system to FAT -> then again change to EXT4 -> reboot to recovery(not to system) and flash supersu or magisk.That worked for me
Muito trabalho para fazer a ROM funcionar sem o overlay tee key chinês, e sem perder o IMEI. Talvez daqui a alguns meses o método esteja mais prático. Até lá, para quem perdeu o IMEI e não conseguiu recuperar ainda, sugiro instalar o MTK Engineering Mode a partir da Play Store mesmo, é facil e funciona, escolher a opção GPRS e write IMEI. Funcionou aqui, mas fiz downgrade para a versão oficial 7.1.1
Infelizmente um celular com ótimo custo benefício mas abandonado pelo fabricante na ROM Nougat, meu próximo aparelho com certeza não será um Ulefone.
A lot of work to make the OREO works without the Chinese tee key overlay, and without losing the IMEI. Maybe in a few months the method will be more practical. Until then, for those who lost the IMEI and could not recover yet, I suggest installing "MTK Engineering Mode" from the Play Store, it is easy and works without root, choose the option GPRS and write IMEI. It worked here, but I downgraded to the official version 7.1.1
Unfortunately a cell phone with great cost but abandoned by the manufacturer in the ROM Nougat, my next device is not sure to be a Ulefone.
yeah i agree. those who managed to gain Root could maybe upload their system and boot images so we can flash them. it would make things a lot easier.
Gaining root is simple. Usual procedure: Flash TWRP – > Flash latest Magisk – > You're good to go!
With Oukitel K10 i managed to uninstall with command:
adb shell cmd package uninstall -k –user 0 com.mediatek.factorymode
No more that red text in android 8.1.
Can't install Magisk v18 or latest Magisk.
Do you know a workaround?
Phone keeps rebooting everytime after "Ulefone Power 3S" Screen.
I forgot to mention i am on android 7. on android Version 7 Magisk doesn't work. it keeps bootlooping.
on android 7.1 you can install superSU pro zip. google it, there's 2.85 SR3 version which works perfectly.
The MegaNZ link shows a different version of ROM - GQ3056MF2-HCS98A-Ulefone-20181226-V12. Is this an error or an actual updated Oreo ROM from V11?
V12 is the updated version. Not much differences though.

The best way for people to remove that Red teekey sign is to —————– go to settings-storage-apps-(or whatever your phone says)- click the three dot extensions on the top right corner-click show system- then scroll down until you find "factory mode" then click force stop, then scroll down until you see "Draw over other apps" then click noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Friend please help me with a very detailed walkthrough. My Ulefone Armor 6e is like this but I can't do these procedures.
