Thanks man, works great.
this roms works yes,but you got updates on him or is stuck on 8.1?
It stays on 8.1, Power 3S doesn't have official support beyond that as far as I know.
Hey. total techy newb here! Managed to install Android 8.1. from here. IMEI remained, managed to remove factory mode to get red of the red Tee Key ..thought great! I've got it sorted but have an odd problem. I've tried flashing V12 twice (V11 wouldn't unzip from ANYWHERE saying it was invalid)
Accessibility defaults revert to original each time I turn phone off or reboot. For example, selecting a different programme for the voice input and search, will revert back to google upon restart.
Also, anything turned on in the accessibility menu under downloaded services all turn to OFF each reset.
I decided to flash back to Android 7.1 to see if the problem remained. It did not so there is obviously something in this Android 8 making it do that but it is WAY over my head to work it out.
So far it seems my only options are to flash back to Android 7 (that removed my IMEI though & had a red KEY in top corner still though I admit I didn't try remove it that time)
Or try keep my phone constantly on so the settings don't get changed.
Any idea, I repeat, I am the LEAST tech savvy person so don't understand and scared i'll mess up my new phone!
NB: I tried all solutions in "How to Fix Android Accessibility Settings That Turn off Automatically" on a website called guidingtech to no avail
Thanks in advance (I hope!)
Couple of things you might want to try if you haven't already:
1. Try flashing V11 and see if problem persists, you need a better archive program such as 7-zip to open all zip file formats.
2. Some manufacturers have aggressive power saving features: Disable battery optimization for your accessibility app, Disable Ulefone's DuraSpeed.
3. Allow device admin priviledges and other permissions for the accessibility application.
4. Disable ALL cache cleaners, boosters, memory optimizers etc. This will cause accessibility settings to be reset. Not sure if Ulefone automatically clears cache on reboot, if so there should be a setting.
5. Try Developer Options -> Running Services -> Security Center -> Disable
CONTROL_VERIFY_SERVICE6. Could be a firmware bug. Expect no more updates for this Ulefone model.
Doesn't seem that big of a deal though unless you restart your phone often (Most people don't do that if there's no reason to).
To easily restore IMEI: MTK Engineering Mode -> First Tab -> GPRS -> Write IMEI of your choice
Hello,
Thanks for the detailed reply.
I managed to unzip V11 finally (thanks) so flashed that. Problem persisted.
Disabled the battery optimisation for those apps and in whole also and duraspeed. Still persisted
Allowed device admin. Still persisted.
Couldn't find anything about automatic cache cleaning. I haven't downloaded any extra programmes, went through menus and couldn't find any others.
I don't seem to have Security Centre in my running services?!? I clicked show running services and went through everything but no security centre. Is this something I have to be rooted for? Or connected to laptop? I tried show cached processes also and not in there…. could this be the issue?
I guess I'm stuck with it. I havent put my sim in or fully downloaded everything to see if anything else would be effected. Just a nuicence for an OCD erson like me who likes to customise and have everything running smoothly. Small price to py for being able to have Android 8 I guess.
If you can't think of anything else I could try, thanks for your detailed help anyway
RIGHT PEOPLE I HAVE FOUND OUT HOW TO REMOVE RED TEE KEY ON ULEFONE POWER 3/3S. TYPE THIS COMMAND ON ADB SHELL FROM THE XDA FORUM OR SEARCH ON GOOGLE ADB TOOLS ANDROID. THEN TYPE THIS COMMAND
.\adb shell pm uninstall -k –user 0 com.mediatek.factorymode
THIS SHOULD WORK CHEERS
I don't understand, it is still red.
