"MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" doesn't exist in the provided ROM file and choosing he scatter.txt file that is there in the FlashTool result in an error (the scatter file format is invalid; 0xC0030001). Please help!

    Hi

MT6771_Android_scatter.tx is only for flash not OTA

Thank you for your quick reply. I previously tried to flash a LOS via Windows, then Linux, but it failed at various hurdles and now keep going into a bootloop. I can't power it off and cannot get into any other screen than either the loop of fastboot mode (every once in a while). Now I simply want to get it back working. Do you have any advice? AI tells me about flashing a system.img (which I don't have), and I wouldn't know how to turn it off to follow your instructions (the scatter choosing worked btw).

Yes, I tried that with the FlashTool V5 and it resulted in a bootloop and error message in the FlashTool, giving TS steps so generic that they are not useful at all (e.g., try another device, try another PC, try another cable, etc.). The in you latest answer linked V6 of the FlashTool has no option for me to select a scatter.txt file at all unfortunately. Also, the only way I get my phone off is by letting the battery drain and use it then in this procedure.

I tried Android 10 now, and it results in the same issue unfortunately:

    "ERROR : STATUS_PROTOCOL_ERR (0xC0010005)

[HINT]: Please retry the following steps: 1. retry a new cable; 2. retry a new com port; 3. retry a new device; 4. retry another PC; 5. retry pressing download volume down and plug in USB cable."

    Error 0xC0010005

    Message: BROM ERROR: STATUS_PROTOCOL_ERR (0xC0010005)

Meaning: Sp flash tool is having problems communicating with the device

Solution: Ensure the phone is properly switched off (with battery connected) before connecting to PC for flashing.

The battery is fixed in there, and the only way for me to have the device properly off is by having its battery run out of juice (since otherwise it gets stuck in a bootloop and occasionally in a fastboot mode from which I can only get into the bootloop again). I tried several button combinations and fastboot commands to get the device properly off respectively on to then turn it off, but none work…
