Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
Thanks a ton dude. The 1st one (without update) works great. Yes it has MIUI also with default launcher. my Phone was bricked. Tried other roms but as said above the new flashed rom showed black screen with hazy lines. This one worked for me. Dont forget to push the power on button of your phone after the pink progress bars complete in spflash tool. Only by pushing the power button you can proceed with installation.

Download and unpack(unzip) the rom,1st one from the above link.
Download SP FLASH TOOL.
Run sp flash tool and select the scatter file from within the extracted rom.
Click download.
Switch off your phone and connect with pc via cable.
Make sure the pink progress bar in sp.flash tool is complete.
Now press the power on button of your phone.
Yellow and blue progress bars will appear.
Let them complete.
Finally a green circle saying ok will flash on your computer screen.
Disconnect the phone and start it.
1st time startup may take a while, and phone might restart a few times.
Hope I am clear enough. Ask me if any doubts.
Rom is already rooted, no.need of superuser.
If u don’t want miui launcher, you can uninstall or disable it using root uninstall.

Welcome axmjoe. Just let me know if the updated rom is like stock rom or MIUI? And have you tried usbotg?

The first link works perfect. Tried all others. Go with the first one. And yes it is already rooted.
