Instructions :
Please consider Taking a nandroid backup (if something goes wrong)
- First U need Custom recovery v4 : U can Download it here ( only tested on this version. might not work on other recoveries and you might brick your device )
- Download Rom
- Reboot into recovery
- Select Wipe-SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK CACHE ( this will wipe all your data)
- Mount SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE
- Install ROM
- And Reboot
- If ur stuck at boot or if ur having bootloops then wipe Dalvik cache and wipe cache again !

The first boot will take about 5-10 minutes.
Notes :
⚫ This Rom may work on Cubot X17S If installed properly
⚫ This Rom wont Work on the Cubot X16 and can cause serious problems if installed
⚫ This Rom is free of adwares, malwares and preinstalled chinese apps
⚫ Xposed Framework (lollipop 5.1 version) is fully compatible with this rom and can be installed properly

For me double click gestures don't work. I can not turn the screen on or of. If i try to activate there is no cross in the square.

Reading the comments, this must be a great ROM.
I still got one question:
The original X17 ROM contains hidden malware Sophos reports.
With the Cubot GT89 I had the same problem.
This phone I rooted and removed al the infected apps and system files.
For a while it worked fine but the malware such as DU-battery-saver and some other malware things came back.
Then the most suspicious advertisement apps where installed automatically and the browser got hijacked.
I really like the X17 but do not want this problems with my new Cubot x17.
This is the reason I post this question:
Is this new custom ROM for the x17 really without the malware which is in the original factory rom?

Yes I removed Bloatware From This Rom But The factory rom Doesn't really contains hidden malware
maybe the browser have security issues but i replaced it with the aosp one

On amazon I have read that in the operatings system there is the Trojan Downloader Agent.EA. This appears to be hidden behind com.android.os.
When this is not anymore in the custom ROM I am verry happy to use it.

You can Try At your Own Risk THer'es a possibilty to brick your device so make sure to make a backup before procceding
