ONLY WORK for ROM CUBOT_X17_5091C_V03_20151022
NEW TWRP for V04 version DECEMBER 2015 UPDATED
NEW TWRP for V06 version FEBRUARY 2016 UPDATED
Download and Install correctly Mediatek Preloader drivers.
Download Flashtool and unpack it in a folder..
Download and Unpack my TWRP Archive in a folder.
1- With flashtool load MT6753_Android_Scatter TWRP**.txt (it depends on wich rom version you have in your cubot)
2- Select download and connect smartphone to pc (smartphone must be powered off)… in few seconds will start the process and the new TWRP will be flashed.
To restore original stock recovery, you need load at point 1 the file MT6753_Android_Scatter.txt
P.S. to enter in the recovery, power off the smartphone, push VOL + and Power at the same time, you will see three words with VOL + you move selection, with VOL – you havw to select Recovery

It doesn't work for my X17 because the device is not found by the FlashTool. But the Preload drivers are installed correct. What can I do?
Hi man, thanks for your nice work!
I had a problem with flashing which was apparently caused by incorrect driver. Previously I had installed some MTK USB driver and I had to uninstall that and then manually install the driver from your package above. I used the one for windows 7.

Dont work for me and cubot x17 Dual sim.
Twrp is install but in recovery mode i can do nothing,no swipe to unlock no modiefies nothing,Display dont do anything.

rooting cubot x17 Dual sim in Update Lolipop 5.1 /04 works with KingRoot 4.8.1
Now Root access is granted.
But i have found no custom Recovery at this time,iam use the stock recovery furthermore.
P.S.
Please open the oem (Bootloader unlock feature) in Menue of Cubot x17(in Developer option of the phone.

Please open the oem unlock (Bootloader unlock feature) in Menu in Developer Options of the phone is you will experience flash problem for twrp recovery!
I have problrms to deinstall the recovery so it is impossible to upgrade to V4 OTA. Does anybody have the upgradefiles as zip. To update by twrp?

You will have rom update but withour loose any app and setting.
After that i suggest to flash new twrp for v04 rom..
