I've ported CM12.1 for our beloved THL 5000. There are some small bugs that shouldn't affect daily usage… So feel free to try it out

Installation
1. Download the ROM (1st Link)
2. Download Micro GApps package (2nd Link)
(optional) 2a. Download SuperSU package (3rd Link)
3. Put the zip files on your SDCard
4. Reboot in Recovery
5. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
6. Install CM12 zip file (cm-12.1-xxx-UNOFFICIAL-thl5000-vx.zip)
7. Install GApps zip file (open_gapps-arm-5.1-micro-xxx.zip)
(optional) 7a. Install SuperSU zip file (UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.zip)
8. Reboot system
9. Enjoy CyanogenMod 12

Almost perfect… Just few bugs… Some problems with wi-fi, apps installing and internet conectivity by sim…
Meecrob, there are patches for lots of things in regards to fire855 port. Are those in your 97? If not, Would they be safe to install? Or is this post is just out of date? I'm mainly interested in the GPS fix.
Otherwise, I removed a few apps on my cell and the performance are back to normal. So the rom is good. Sorry for my previous post where I was talking about performance issues.

Definitely the unstable WiFi has to be fixed, else it is the best ROM for this phone

assuming you are logged in with your Google account, go to contacts and +contact as on every other android phone.
I don't see your problem. This isn't a bug in this rom in my opinion.
If your problem is not related to this specific rom, this issue doesn't belong in this thread.
I know how it work with email adresse and I make so, but it is a bug.
Any phone you import contact to phone and after synchronise with Google.
Possibility to use phone without gmail must exist.
My grandfather has no email address.
For those still struggling with GPS doenload faster GPS, go into advanced settings a disable DEFAULT A-GPS. Mine wouldn't get a lock till I did this, still not great but it works.
Thanks man! GPS works great now. I didn't even disabled the agps, I just select the localization and got a fix in a few seconds with both data and wifi turned off.

Anyone have a proglem with 3G / WiFi?
When I disconnect wifi, the 3G data does not work, it get's a exclamation mark on the GSM icon, I found a "workarround", but only work sometimes, I get the phone in plane mode, and then remove the plane mode, it asks for the PIN and some time it works……. Does anyone saw this? Any fix?

Its not optimalizer, original is from kingzone K1 Turbo (you see in bluetooth name) this model have differnet GPS module..
- this rom have more bugs, few restarts, few restart GSM module, GPS not workin, or workin on 1%, any aplications not working, graphic card is emulated, only 5FPS in menu…I tested 3 weeks, I go back to official 1.1.2 – best
It looks like no development is taking place anymore for this rom.
It is sad because there are only a few bugs left, aspecialy the wifi/data/gps bugs make a daily use of the phone not possible.
For the moment I returned to KK with Dimids Lite 2.1 rom. It is great and very much more comfort with a stable working WIFi
Also back to KK (stock 1.1.3) . Gps fix didn’t really worked.
Phone signal wasn’t stable enough.
Never heard of 1.1.3.
The newest I know is 1.1.2.
