@nikanta maybe apps to sd or something. For me it's more important that the camera saves pics on external sd. Have you tried lucky patcher?

When you download a large app from playstore it all goes on internal storage

Ok don't now how to fix that. Do you know any other cm rom for redmi who got it woking? Cause you can set it by your self in system/etc/permission/platform.xml

Yes you need to use es file explorer with root permission and open the xml file with text edit. Scroll down to the sd sections and find the code to change. You need to google your problem and know what to change. I think you can do it!

i tested folder mount just a minute ago for asphalt 8 airborne, and it pushed 1,4 gb to my sdcard 1, so it works
the disadvantage is, that the game needs longer to load, but driving is smooth as ever.
so iguess you didn´t use folder mount the right way
FolderMount worked for me after all as well
But it would be nice if we had this rom to do it by default to avoid extra apps and extra loading times
