Install ROM:
Install with SP MDT:
1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.
2). Remove the battery and insert it again (if the battery is removable)
3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device
4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.
5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).
7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).
8). Click "Start all".
9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,
remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.
10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.
11). Completed.

Can anyone please tell me what's the best version to install? I have the 20161222 version and the battery drains horribly! I'm going to do an update to the newest version, and then patch it with an anti-malware patch that I found on this website.
I'd also like to point out that Malwarebytes doesn't detect any malware, yet I get popup ads, ads every time I open Google Chrome, apps keep installing by themselves… yeah

OK! I've flashed the 2016-12-26 ROM and now have invalid IMEI numbers. I've tried using a bunch of tools to re-flash my original IMEI numbers back, but these always fail. Anybody know how to do this???? I'd be forever grateful, as this was my wife's Christmas gift. Thanks!
Nevermind… I used MauiMETA_exe_3G_v6.1316.1 and flashed the NVRAM successfully. All is good!
FYI: Saphos Antivirus detected a virus in the Wireless Update app included in the 2016-12-26 ROM. I've since stopped the service and am now using NoRoot Firewall. So far, no annoying popups or ads.

Same problems again, cannot get TWRP to the device after updating to the latest rom. Again stuck without IMEI numbers.
Everything works perfectly.
