Hello everybody, I prepared a new custom rom compatible with ANY Iocean x7 based on latest stock firmware for Iocean Elite (02/12 version). I implemented Aroma Installer from Gamma v1.2 onwards and rom zip is now the same for any Iocean x7 (Youth, Youth Turbo, Plus, Elite).

Installation guide
|
To flash this rom you need a custom recovery as CWM or TWRP. You can download TWRP for all Iocean from here. Otherwise if you prefer CWM, download this CWMrecovery.img for Iocean x7 Youth/Youth Turbo or this one for Iocean x7 Plus/Elite and flash it through MobileUncleTools app. I strongly recommend you to take a Nandroid Backup before flashing this (or any other) rom. I recommend you to backup your IMEI too. To do this you can simply write both IMEI on a piece of paper (you can find them in Settings > About Phone > Status > IMEI information)

I deleted them in default installation type to safe space in /system partition, but you can add them if you choose "custom installation"
Hi Sambaa, thank you forma gammarom it works perfect except two things: WiFi take a lot of seconds to connect and when is connected sometimes it loose the connection… The issue of green camera is not solved. I am using gammarom 2.0 on x7 Elite
For what concerns wifi, everything's normal for me. have you enabled or disabled 3g&wifi tweaks during installer? For the green cam issue, it doesn't depend on me, it's an Elite's bug coming from stock rom which should have been solved AFAIK in 1202 rom I took as a base. Other Elite's users reported it to be solved with v2.0, but I don't have an Elite to check (youth doesn't have such an issue) so I cannot say much about it…

Use prog Callrecorder. Writes outgoing calls, ie it can not determine the start of the outgoing call.
In the FAQ, written most likely in your firmware disabled Logger. It is used to determine the moment of connection for outgoing calls. It is necessary that it be included.
Here further stated that the V6 Supercharger script disables logger. Link to delete the file 12cleaner not work.
Q: how to enable this logger? It is possible to make a patch to enable TWRP logger?

I removed the script and after flashing 02logger and reboot.Ne helped. May need to archive (zip) to delete the script, and then flashing
If that app uses logcat you need to delete 12Cleaner, 02Logger and remove "logcat.live=disable" from /system/build.prop entries. After reboot, you should be able to logcat, so that app should then work.

Yeah, that's available for v1.4 > v1.5 upgrade. I made it unavailable in v1.5 > v2.0 because the latter is based on a different base and wouldn't be a good idea to upgrade without wiping datas. gud one i love it! make custom 4.4 ROM for ioce X7 elite pls ……
Unfortunately no way to do it right now (the same stands for any mtk phone)… 4.4 cannot be built from source because mediatek doesn't release it, at the same time it cannot be ported since no mtk6589 phone is provided of a kitkat rom. Omni rom developers have access to oppo r819 source code and may release kitkat for that device in the future, but with no iocean kernel source and hardware specific stuff, it may be difficult/impossible to build a working 4.4 to our device even if omni releases a buildable source code in the future.

Hardware keys backlights work only on first youth models, if they were working for you with previows roms, open android terminal emulator and type 'lights up' and lights will be turned on after reboot.

the prompt command is "lights on" and "lights off"
i tried both but nothing changed.
i think my phone is later version of youth.
if there is any way to turn them on i wanna know please.

open /system/build.prop and check this entry persist.sys.keylight_switch=1. Set it to 1 in case it's set to 0, but if lights don't turn on after reboot there's nothing else you can do; it means your model, as most part of x7, doesn't have leds.
