Fixed problem with generating a dump files when the phone was connected to the charger (as in a previous version).
Improved WiFi and connect to the access points.
Network indicator is hidden when the SIM card is disabled in the settings or slot is not occupied. This does not apply when it is actually out of range GSM/3G.
Contacts and SMS application is now in dark colors.
Updated applications that were previously.

Error while charging and generate "spam" in /data/core
Mountpoint and description for memory (sdcard and internal memory)
Occasional problem when performing file operations.
Reduce bitrate for video. The quality will be the same (i guess), but the output file will be much smaller.

I checked WiFi Direct – works correctly but need an external application to transfer data.
If you have a problem with the contacts you need to check the options of displaying, or import them again.
Contacts are recognized after a minimum of 9 digits. I can change it but for now I prefer to leave as is.
All tested using TWRP. CWM – unknown, but it should work

1. Added support for several languages. There is no possibility that all is well, but I tried to add as many as I can. I'm not omniscient.
2. Added SIM Toolkit and NoteBook. Removed redundant widgets and some unnecessary files.
3. Adding support for multiple users
4. Fixed a problem with the recording after adding effects.
5. Added support for headset button.
6. Changed the YouTube application. Reason: poor quality of playback in previous version.
7. The little fix in installation script. Added full of BusyBox options witch update.
8. Fixed caller_ID and SMS, little optimization in apk files, ODEX and other things.
Known issues:
1. Occasional freezing on "Lenovo" screen on (re)start. Not everyone even notice  Simply remove the battery and reboot. Probably the reason is Xposed/Gravitybox but thing to check.
2. Miracast still not working

- root by default allows to all, so you can install any application to control root permissions
- init.d support
- fm radio works without headphones
- possibility to install applications on the SD card (also from GooglePlay)
- removed the MediaTek camera (color change), integrated the Google camera with 720p videos recording
- ClearBass equalizer & BraviaEngine2 from Xperia
- replaced Calculator witch CyanogenMod Calculator
- added: FlashPlayer, TotalCommander
- fix sound, sensors, clock, dialpad, and many other things to make it work for Lenovo as properly

Installation via Recovery (for example TWRP 2.5.0.0)
Step 1: Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
– Power button + volume button up + volume button down, to enter the recovery mode.
– !!! MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILES !!!
– Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Check: Davik Cache, Cache, Data -> Swipe to Wipe
Step 3: Return to main -> Install -> Select your ROM -> Swipe to Confirm Flash
Step 4: Install complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

I have dhcp enabled on my router, but no problem with WiFi. Don’t know why others are complaining.
It´s not a real problem. In III it just takes a few seconds longer to connect to wifi than in II. So because III should be an improvement to II people wonder what went wrong …..
Higher wi-fi scan interval is actually better, because it saves battery.
Haven't checked, but I guess that's what the author did – increased the interval.
Using this room for past one week. Only problem I am having is booting and alarm.
I tried out yesterday to use a 64 GB sdcard. It works !! You can have 64 GB of external SD !
Just take a 64 GB card like Transcend from Amazon (about € 40), format it with the utility FAT32FORMAT (not FAT32FORMATTER, does not work) and voila – you have more storage than even the most expensive iPhone !
Can you disable the log other mod?
Every night it collects logs of 60M or so and my phone worns that the uasage is running out.
I have just installed vMS-4.2.1-III and everything is ok… but camera in video mode is still darker than in photo mode. Is it normal?

Absolutely the same on stock ROM.That's ok
Unfortunatelly, it's normal on this phone. You can use MXCamera for video recording – using this app you won't get video darker than photos, also video is not zoomed.
also zoom camera pro is very good for both foto and videos

Does the GPS work in the III version?
Yes. On fresh install I run GPS and lay the phone on my balcony for 5-8 min to let itself catch satellites.
After GPS connects about 30-60 sec on the streets.
Problems…..
Defult write disk.in settings does not work and I have to edit vold.fstab by myself.
Sometimes it stopped at the middle of rebooting and I have to plug the battery out by myself.
Cannot charge when my phone is off .It stopped in total black picture but does not screen off or display the second battery logo .And I have to make my phone always on while charging.
After some time in /data/log_other_mode logs of about 60M appear and my phone warns that storage is running out.
The radio cannot playp roperly when earphone is not inserted.
The camera can only make 2.4f but original A820 should be 2.0f.
It says it’s from a820t rather than a820.
The battery is good when it’s over 50% but drops fast when below 50%.
Some strange things occour when the battery is below 10% such as the time in some places stopped.
Some apps running behind stopped for no reason.For example I was surfing the Internet and my blue light filter stopped strangly.The running memory was currently enough,though.

1.I don't have this bug.My memory 2GB root space, 800MB sd card for media.
2.The same but usually I get this on silver logo "lenovo"
3.When my phone is off and I put it on a charger there's appear charging animation and it does charges.
4.I don't have this folder only something at dev/log but there's a bytes-sized files.
5.The radio of mine without earphones playing as on stock ROM.I'm always keep the phone in my hand or signal gets worse :\

Though it’s processing speed is not fast enough（colorOS is much faster）,it’s the fastest UI I’ve ever met in A820.Thanks for your work.You can do better.
Hope he does it better. Superthans 4.2.1 ROM is far ahead from this.
However I'd want to say about battery logging.It's really poor.First time I've tried new version of vMS I thought that fixed but nope.The log became again poorly it doesn't log small uses only big one's such as a hour in the game or watching videos and wipe previously logged information.

I've rechecked my photos on older firmwares.Yes the f/2.4 is only on vMS but isn't it better aperture than f/2.0?Higher the better as I know and I'm not even sure this work…It's a hardware thing.That's should be a typo mistake as it shows A820T in device name.
You should not care about exif data (f2.4/f2.0). Pictures are the same, only exif data written to file are different. Also in vMS you can use any camera software and you won't get pictures darker than the should be – in opposiotion to official rom (and 99.9% custom roms, for example superthan), where only built-in camera can take good picutures and when (for example) you need to use barcode scanner, you are lost (sometimes picture is too dark to scan code). If you really don't feel good with F and A820t (not A820) in exif data, you can always change them to F and manufacturer as you want, after picture is taken. But I don't really understand your problem? Finally we got camera working as should but you are guys stil worrying about some exif data, even if all of them are fake values.
About FM radio: please don't expect it to be played good without earphones, because earphones are also fm antenna and internal antenna is not so good. So you can play good only strong signal stations without earphones, or you can use internet radio.
Hi.It's not a problem for me as I said above it's a typo then you just confirmed that.The same about analog radio.I was mean it's ok for the phone and not a bug of custom ROM.
I have the feeling that some guys do not understand technical restrictions.
MasterSanta has built a very good rom, much better than the stock rom (on which dozens of people at Lenovo have worked).
I am thankful for that !
Nobody said that's bad ROM.One guy has write a list of found bugs I just replied about what I have or not.
Idk where do you see a "problems" people cry for.Every ROM has it's own bugs no difference who build that Samsung or even Google.I see no sin to post a bug you have found 'cos vMS updating and could be author would like to fix something then here is the issues.Maybe someone would like to install that to test miracast or something and see in comments about it's not working then that someone won't lose his time.So we help each other at this point.
