6/9/2014 update v9 rom:
add reboot option in power menu
fix Nvram Warning Error 0×1 in wifi
fix Bluetooth issue (Some people had problems)
add CWM_v6.0.3.4_S820 recovery
update apps google
wallpaper => settings=>display=>wallpaper=>gidgat)
Call Recorder: During a call press the Menu button and record calls
screenshot = Shutdown button + volume down (Together)

how to install rom 2 step:
pre_install_rom_v9_sp_flash_tool.zip is update frimwork + install recovery add CWM_v6.0.3.4_S820 recovery) + install kernel kitkat 4.4.2, and more….
First back up your rom In case you need.. installation does not delete anything from external sd card
step 1:
dwonload the 2 file
yaaki_v9_lenovo_S820_KITKAT_4.4.2_rooted.zip
pre_install_rom_v9_sp_flash_tool.zip
copy yaaki_v9_lenovo_S820_KITKAT_4.4.2_rooted.zip to sd card
1. extract zip file pre_install_rom_v9_sp_flash_tool.zip in new folder in pc
2. remove usb from phone
3. open sp flash tool as administrator
4. in sp flash tool mark DA DL All Witeh Check Sum
5. click scatter-loading and load => MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt (load from pre_install_rom_v9_sp_flash_tool extract folder)
6. click => Frimware->Upgrade
7. conect usb to phone and flash begin
8. After the green circle Installation is complete
step 2:
boot to recovery mode button volume up + button volume down + button shut down
wipe data/factory reset => yes
wip cache partition => yes
advanced => wipe dalvik cache => yes
install zip => choose zip from sdcard => yaaki_v9_lenovo_S820_KITKAT_4.4.2_rooted.zip
after install complete go back => reboot system now => (important) disable recovery flash => no
First time boot take a minute or two until it go up
Tutorial fix IMEI
your imi number is on the box or Behind the battery
go to settings
about phone
on build number click 7 time untiil you get developer
go back => click developer options
mark usb debugging
opem mtk droid root & tool 2.5.3 as administrator
click root
pop up click yes
after YOU SEE —>>>> connect to davice <<<<——
click IMEI/NVRAM button
insert your IMEI number in IMEI 1 & IMEI 2
click Replace IMEI
pop up click yes
pop up click accept
click button REBOOT(1) — pop up and click REBOOT(2)
the phone will reboot and you see the IMEI number

I've just installed the ROM successfully however when I select to reboot the mobile it won't reboot itself so I have to turn off and turn on again but when it comes back I only have a black screen.
Any help?

Thanks for your reply. As I screwed my S820 in the first time trying to install a ROM, the Lenovo recovery won't work so I managed to use Mobileuncle MTK Tools to reboot in recovery mode. I'm able to choose the zip file from my SD card and install everything properly and then I have to restarted manually and I only get the black screen.
I've added a pic from my phone right now.

Version 8.1 and still contact manager shows contact from sim card, google account and phone. Is it so hard to do it. Every time when open contact manager I see all contact. So I go to "contact to display" set google account and after exit and reopen contact manager again see all contacts from sim phone and google. Any idea how to save this settings??????

Yes. It's very strange. No other rom have this issue. Have no idea. I tried to reboot and try to set this after reboot but after I exit contact manager and open it again I can see contact from every source. Well if it works for you maybe there is something strange with my girlfriend's phone. Any way this rom is a good work
go to your gmail on pc check if you ever back up from sim to google account?
Question After you change and returns to contact Where is the
blue circle?
if its stay in google the problem is in google gmail contact pc
Just installed this rom on my phone – the launcher is not really smooth. Are there any HWA or Dev options (CPU governor?) I should maybe change ?

the launcher is original from lenovo
Its not the launcher but basicaly any transition in the phone. Antutu shows same performance as yours so I guess the phone is not fake. Tried performance governor and the smoothness problem is still there. Is there a recommended rom/row to start with and than instal yours?

I'm still having the same problem. Now, if I try to follow all installation steps again I CAN NOT wipe dalvik cache. The mobile won't reboot itself. Is there anything I could do? Any cache or partition format? I'm afraid to format something and then lose my recovery partition.
Just to let you know, before installing the ROM I was able to browse the mobile but I had "BRUSH" error. No I can't do anything.
Any help?

I've got teamviewer however our time zones are diferrent I think hehe I'm in Australia so it will be hard (im at work at moment)

Just to let you know I got all drivers properly installed in my computer. I'm also wondering if I could use SP Flash Tool to fix this issue. Any suggestion or tutorial using your ROM?

My lenovo s820 is brand new with CN rom updated via OTA to VIBEUI_V1.5_1427_2_ST_S820 and still only 2 languages, CN & EN, android 4.4.2. What instruction should I follow to install your rom version: yaaki_v8.1_lenovo_S820_KITKAT_4.4.2_su_rooted ???
Is that instruction full and compatible, or something additional I should do before I start that:
