@mazalo: I first installed Komu 1.01 with FlashTool, and I tried to root it with KingRoot, which didn't get the job done properly. Then I installed Marsapa v9 via Recovery. Everything is working well, apart from the two problems reported above.
I did not root KOMU, and did not try it. Just flashed, and then aroma V9 , wiped all. My ES,root explorer are OK, will try Tcommander. WIFI is OK to me. Try flashing KOMU without rooting it
@DarthJabba
Installed Tcommander 205b5, granted root normal all is OK .
I cannot use screenshot properly.
On every picture I have the message “granted screenshot to get root permission” at the bottom of the picture !
Does somebody uses a screenshot program which works perfectly ?
I didn’t have this problem before this rom and Komu 1.01 rom
To me it works screenshot normal,even tried
@mazalo
Thanks. My heart was in my mouth when I was installing Komu, because I had no option but to install the preloader (which I have read, is a dangerous thing to do, because it can lead to a permanent brick). Thankfully everything went well. I am not brave enough to try again – unless it allows me to use "download" without the preloader and does not insist on "firmware upgrade". I can live with the half-rooting. ESFileExplorer is fine with root permissions. Although I prefer "File Manager: https://play.google.com/store/.....ft.fm"
I can live with ESFileExplorer. I can also live without TCommander. Am I a coward? Yes. I'd rather live with these problems than risk permanently bricking my phone.
I have sorted out the WiFi problem by using static settings rather than DHCP, and by using OpenDNS servers rather than Google. It is not ideal, but it works.
If I get brave, I might try installing Komu again, followed by Marsapa V9 again.
@DarthJabba. Hehe,had same problem with fear of bricking device.But its easier as it seems, i have flashed so much times my device via Ftool,and nothing specially happend.maybe its i always wipe,1st in recovery,2nd in Ftool,and i do no Fware upgrade,just download.So i think keep your heart where it belongs. No fear bro.
Thanks
I am a bit of a techie myself, and have made custom CWM-based ROMs in the past (RK3188 devices, which are far easier than MTK devices).
I went through the whole process again (twice) and the result is still the same. Did you go to the "Settings->Comfigure->Root functions everywhere" menu in Total Commander? That is where I get the message that there is no root (ditto for File Manager).
@DarthJabba. Yes i got there now a message, that there is no root. I think its something with TComander.King granted root normal.
Does someone know what this is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8n6.....-28-20.png?dl=0
I got this in ROM Toolbox/scripts/wipe battery stats……………after executing script . THNX i. a. for suggestions
Thanks. It's interesting that the two apps that don't get root permissions are file managers. Perhaps they are doing going about obtaining their root permissions in a way that the version of superuser in King doesn't like. They have no problem getting root permissions on my RK3188 tablet, which is also running KitKat 4.4.2 (and which use SuperSu).
T commander i can use normal, nothing specially unnormal, also ES and Root Ex, what TC doesnt get 100% i dont know, im no developer. ASk marsapa…………..
I'm not sure that this is a matter for Marsapa – it is either a matter for the author of Kingroot, or the authors of the two applications that can't get full root permission (in this case, making the system area writeable). It is not a big deal, as I can get around it. I am happy with the confirmation that the problem doesn't only exist on my phone – that makes me breathe a lot easier, therefore resisting the temptation to try other things. I might write to the developers of TC and FM.
But there are no Errors or Notifications about that there are no 100% rights for something. I see that now is an lower version of King and SU,a s it was before. v4 was SuperSU,with v5 it changed to King. Why, i dont know ! Yes write to developers, let us know about it, if no problem TNX i. a DarthJabba
