ROM Mobile Newman K1S – ROM Android 4.4.2
ONLY MT6592
Official ROM Newman K1S Version: ALPS.KK1.MP1.V2.10 – eastaeon92_wet_kk – KOT49H – 11032014
Gapps not include – No Rooted
Language support : Multilang
Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Newman K1S is being sold with android 4.4.2 now, like some other "older" chinaphones. They update android's version in order to sell what few items they still have in stock.
I'm guessing this rom probably only works over a stock rom, or with a full clean, none of which strikes my fancy.
My only hope is that baldos81 picks this one up and makes a 4.4.2 super aosp
(or, even better, someone uses this to give us a MIUI port!)
Any news about sound problem on 4.4??

None so far. I eventually installed it and tinkered with some options, but didn't get anywhere. Looks like the drivers might be wrong, not sure.
@ Releaser and @ Bufusbuf…Yes men , it has problems. Like you say Bufusbuf, Maybe Baldos or some other kind dev might eventually help us here, its a shame because I quite like the Newman K1s, its got pretty good specs for the price it cost. It's my daily driver here, The wife stole my LG G PRO E988 lol..
Exactly, it's an excellent device for its price! The only issue I have (apart from the silly GPS, which is usual) is the overheating when you abuse it, and I hoped this rom would help, although I didn't get to see if the kernel was tweakable or allowed underclocking/undervolting.

Not much happening it seems about the so called kit kat rom, Are you guys getting same info what I see in Device Manager on PC, when k1s connected, Mine says after clicking on + on Android USB Devices….My HTC.. and going into properties you get some driver info…Is this just telling me that its probably HTC driver connecting phone in k1S to PC.,,? ,,Wondering is there an HTC phone that compares with the k1s specs? . Probably not, but there are so many HTC models manufactured it makes me wonder?..Been thinking about cyanogen mod rom or something like MIUI, I would love that we could find a way to get this phone out of jellybean , not that jelly bean is not good, but you know, tinkerers need to tinker. anyone thinking like me at the moment? i ported miui 6 and is very good, some problem with temperature but the sound problem remains so no good news
Excellent job nonetheless! You just proved it's doable, and you've given hope to a lot of us, who are still hoping someone uploads a MIUI port for the K1S
I believe the heating problem can only be solved by undervolting or underclocking. Having a custom kernel would fix that.
Have you tried switching the sound drivers with the ones on the Super AOSP?
yes i change with super aosp, but ist 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 and boot loop….miui 5 it's simple miui6 only with 4.4.2
