DESCRIPTION
Custom kernel for Lenovo A820 suitable for AOSP roms.
Not compatible with mastersanta's V3 rom
v2.1+ is compatible with mastersanta's rom and should be good for any other AOSP-based rom
For MIUI and VIBE wait or ask the developer of your rom.
Aroma installer with some options
- Chipset undervolted (recommended to try this first)
- Chipset at default volts (if you experience glitches or sound corruption, try this one)[/list]
- Backup of NVRAM, IMEI and boot.img (saved on internal and external cards in proton_kernel_backup folder.
- Restore NVRAM, IMEI and boot.img
GPU is now controlled via module interface. init.d script is included and istalled automatically.
You can control GPU DVFS (dynamic voltage and frequency), GPU target frequency and GPU voltages for all states.
The kernel should have better performance and better battery life.

It was new install after wipe everything. I’ve installed Proton Kernel 2.2 and it solved the problem, but I feel like in stock kernel 2.2rc4 battery was working longer, but maybe it’s only feeling. Maybe I’ll try reinstall rom, and delete that script. Anyway thank you Infrared for advice. Waiting for final version.
I think the problem with battery comes from some new code I took from newer Lenovo kernels.
Battery holds better for me and it charges to 100% no problem, but I see some people complain about this, so I will probably revert that change.
Just got stuck my battery charging at 28% level.The charging animation is going but doesn't fill the battery.Reverted to 2.2r3.

I installed this.Will give ya my answer in few days.
It only works with USB port and with screen turned on with charger. So the problem is not the voltage, but the battery driver.
Will be fixed for the v1.0 release of the ROM.

Increased battery charging voltage? Max charging voltage is 4.2V. This can not be exceeded because kill the battery.
It is increased to 4.2, but disabled again on the boot.img in the previous post.
Won't kill it.

It's caused by TWRP and KK ROMs. JB ROMs are working fine. Will we have a fix?
