Install ROM:

- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Update with file update.zip

Is anyone familiair with the "date and time" bug of THL W8s 32GB android 4.2?
Is there a fix available or do I need to install android completely.
Is there already a 4.2 (multi lang.) available

download the file.extract it.

from cwm,use advanced restore and restore boot and system only. that way u keep ur data.

I just recovered v1.0.6 from chenrp's dropbox link (my previous version was v1.0.4) – did only the boot and system through the CWM advanced restore. The process worked well, my data, root and everything was kept safe and also the CWM was upgraded from my previous 6.0.3.3 to 6.0.3.7 (see http://forum.xda-developers.co.....d.php?t=2237779 for details regarding the CWM versions for particular W8 stock rom version). V 1.0.6 is still Android 4.2.1..

I hope for GPS and compass improvements but here are no change logs for v 1.0.5 and v 1.0.6.

norton deletes flashtool.exe since it contains a virus,, true or not.

I am not going to install it without knowing it is definitely not a virus.
