Hello! Yes, you need to restore your imei after install. There are tutorials on XDA and 4pda on how to do that. It is recommended to make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM.
What did you do? I have had some problems with IMEI and recognizing the SIM… This phone is a piece of s**t. I have managed to make it work again.

Install. All works fine. But lost imei's and not find the process to restore witout root.

You must install android 8.1 from (SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1824 Win) and the installation is perfect.
IMEI is not lost and the SIM works fine.

The fastest way to restore imei: dial *# * # 3646633 # * # * or install MTK Engineering Mode -> go to GPRS -> write imei -> reboot. That metod works for me but I have still red ,,tee key".
write imei with "mtk engineering" but have a "imei write error" and imei not write correctly
Maybe use a imei generator,

I lost my IMEI please help
After i Install old version my IMEI back but now i stuck with red label:
未写入key
How restore IMEI? What is they process?
I thought that I had lost the IMEI too. Flashing this ROM with SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1824 Win as Petros3 said worked for me. But I have de 未写入 tee key message too
I can say that solution 3 works fine for message 未写入 tee key (I suppouse is the same issue in 8.1 than 未写入key in 7.1):

Installs fine, can't install TWRP afterwards. It keeps going back to stock even I unlocked bootloader by using 'fastboot oem unlock' and it even says so in developer options. Can't install superSU either.
adb reboot bootloader
fasboot oem unlock -> Press volume + button
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (In the path where recovery.img is)
fasboot oem lock -> Presionar volumen + button
Poweroff terminal holding power button
The last two steps do the trick
