Hi,
I have tried almost all type of roms with no luck.This one seems to work.Official ROM by UMI.06/01/2015 v3.10
No reboots,good battery life,solid warming,no issues yet .
You can use Rootjoy as your official ROM flashing solution.Always make a full backup,before you start the flashing process.!
Only for Offical ROM update /Don't use this if you have custom ROM installed /
1.Download Rootjoy
2.Plug your Phone and allow connection
3.Create a full backup of your phone
4.Flash your mobile device
***Warning ***
Your device data wil be deleted permanently.Do it at your own risk !
***If you have custom ROM you can get an error that your mobile doesn't supported anymore***
If you are not familiar with flashing process please find previous ROM's posts, where you can find more detailed description about the "how to ",and also you can find answers in the comments for the upcoming issues.

AUDIO
1.download mobile uncle tool
front speaker fine tuning :

rear speaker audio tuning:
open mobile uncle tool –>engineering mode (MTK)—>Hardware testing/audio—>loudspeaker mode–>> type:media–>set level 0=120 (level1=130,level2=140..etc ) increase the number on different levels as you wish, till max level 14 =230
don't use 255 value max level ,you might damage your speaker .
now adjust your media volume levels from low to max..reset your values if you feel it to harsh
GPS
Zero produced for Chinese market,so you should personalize your gps settings to your country.
what you need is:
1.turn your wifi on
2.download the following tools from playstore :
mobile uncle tool,mt gps ,faster gps ,total commander (or root explorer )
3.open mobile uncle tool
find power gps search on main screen
select GPS SET
reboot your machine
4.open faster gps
select your continent,select your country
go to advanced settings select intermediate_pos type the value :1
select accuracy_thres value:500
enable wiper value=1
at the ntp server you should find your country's ntp sever /in my case hu.pool.ntp.org/
you can check here whether it was set properly http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/

5.open total commander
select file system root
/system/etc you should find your gps.conf file
select and select edit file

6.open mt gps
download epo
7.go to open air,and turn data connection to ON
8.open mobile uncle tool
engineer mode–>engineer mode mtk–>location–>YGPS–>information–>hot–>wait 3 sec–>full–>wait 3 sec–>AGPS restart —>go to satellites tab–>now wait till red spots turn to green first fix could take more than 5 minutes
9.if fixed ,start your gps app

tried to upgraed my UMI with rootjoy to 3.10 but doesn't work. Rootjoy shows at the last step of flashing "please root your phone check the root authority allow".
The Phone is Rooted and USB debugging enabled.
Is there a other way to flash it?

as far as i remember you have an option to root it anyway..select it..and see what happens when you try to flash it again with rootjoy
OK, I downloaded the 3.10 official zip and working from a base of 3.06 official tried in recovery mode to use the 3.10 zip to install. It aborted with an unspecified error. Phone left in original 3.06 state. Also tried renaming as ota file and same problem.
I opened and extracted the contents of the zip and the boot.img and system etc dirs are all apparently ok so it does not seem to be wildly corrupted but obviously something is not working for this route.
I moved to 3.06 previously without issue and used the rename to OTA file and it worked on reboot fine. So as the 3.10 is not specified as an OTA I wasnt surprised that got nowhere.
I also used RASHR and attempted to find the zip file but I suspect it is looking for something else eg .img as it doesnt list zips. RASHR also had issues with some of the chown commands on install. I have busybox installed but it looked like it tried to use its own toolbox and busybox commands without success.
Rashr also wrote the backups to the internal SD which meant it essentially ran out of space but I have nothing on my phone that I cant wipe and resinstall over time.
So, any suggestions for a windows free user?

Hi Donty,Do you have a friend who owns windows ? Your phone seems like having issues with file attributes,and your system corrupted somehow,and need to be wiped permanently..Unfortunatelly,I'm not familiar with other system based solutions..I can only tell you for me, it was possible to switch from 3.06 to 3.10 without issues..hope someone can help you ..Good Luck
i made sd card update without erasing enaything, and works like a charm. no reboots anymore.
Hello, does anyone know if the flip case auto locking still work with this ROM version?
Hi guys,last week i've buyed a umi zero, i've saw some problems that could be solved by rom v3.10. i've download the rootjoy.however i've get some following problems:
- Seems that rootjoy is not recognizing my UMI. Un-supported device is showed.
- i cant download any rom's from rootjoy
- Because of that i've downloaded the spflashtool and this rom but does not have txt file to Scatter-loading
Can you help?
Was really annoyed buy the Capacitive Buttons behavior (turn off after a few seconds) and wanted them to stay on when screen is on; finally found a tool that did the job, so for anyone who is struggling with that

actually i have to update this comment – still trouble with capacitive buttons, even after uninstalling all apps that should help, situation is worse, sux!
