Accelerometer sensor with stock kernel S150 works fine. This is the only issue with this kernel. The device have to be shut down and powered back on, reboot doesn't solve the problem.

      lol, tell LENOVO and MTK

Kernel sources from them are s****, they don't even work on all models of A820… I think that fix 2D for all models is the priority

Source is skit or not but the boot.img is redundant..

I have the same problems with accelerometer(autorotation) .Mostly it stopped to work when I'm using any camera app.

On xperia z ROM appearing spontaneous system reboots.

Really no one its going to try to add new things or compile his own Kernel? Other devices with MT6589 already have CM11 working and KitKat…

It's easier to buy a new device ready for CM11 than wasting time to vanity.

You'll never get your money back for wasted time while fooling with this.

Can someone who has problems with 2D performance contact me, please?

I made some changes to the kernel, but also changed touchscreen and now it works, but I'm unsure if it is from the touchscreen or the kernel.

I'm one of those who suffered very poor 2D performance, along with extreme screen corruption on first boot.

I still think my a820 has mtk6589m 'cos ins't able to decode 1080p natively, but screen must be one from the first batches.

I'm glad to help you any way I can.

Unfortunately it's because I changed the touchscreen and the LCD. The touchscreen was cracked from a long time and I just couldn't stand it anymore and the LCD had some dead pixels, so I changed both. Now I need to figure out if it's the TS or the LCD. When I have time will disassemble the phone and connect the old screen to check.

Link to my kernel (packed for JB 4.2.x only). Don't flash if you don't want to experiment and make a backup first.

Is your kernel is a development kernel WASD-and if so what are the differences with respect to the kernel WASD?

For anyone who had poor 2D performance, you can try the latest build of my kernel: http://d-h.st/Q7r and report back if the problem is fixed for you (it is on my old LCD screen).

There are not much features and optimizations yet, I just want to confirm this issues is fixed, then will continue with the interesting stuff.

Note that the kernel is just for AOSP roms – it won't work for custom Lenovo roms. For those roms you need to extract the zImage and repack it with the ramdisk of your rom.

The packed image will work with Arch, Mastersanta and Superthan roms (or any other AOSP-based).

Please do a nandroid backup first and if it does not boot, restore boot from the backup.
