   Thank you abagie, but the links don't seem to work. They do not open even after 10 minutes. Also i tried to flash the 1.0.5 update but with no luck although i followed all instructions. It seems that my K2S is not recognized by my PC. Are there any specific drivers for XP for the K2S?

   I can flash V1.0.5 but can't flash V2.0.1

   is there something wrong with that file (V2.0.1)?

   flashing 2.0.1 will give you some problems, first emei lost, and wifi signal is weaker, but i think those problems won't appear if you use 2.0.1 which u install from sd card(OTA)

     Hello, i try do the OTA update with SD card, but fail, because only works with FIXED partition system ( i think only with Newman-K2SV2.0.0 it works), if you have the V1.0.X you have to do the flash version.

   firmware 1.0.5 wifi lives to himself, and GPS't I get a network. after the firmware 2.0.1 corrected it or I Snorkelling problem?

    Mine have the Newman-K2SV.1.0.4 and i upgrade to Newman-K2SV.2.0.1 (Flash) the only way due to the fixed system partitions.

    First you have to backup de IMEI and Mac WIFI, because you will lose with the SELECTED FORMAT ALL IN+DOWNLOAD FLASHTOOLS, ALL SELECTED,  included Preload.

    I Root the phone first, used Mobileuncle MTK and BACKUP IMEI to SDCARD.

    Then i used Flashtool, do SELECTED FORMAT ALL IN + DOWNLOAD , ALL SELECTED, included preload  ( I lose IMEI and Mac WIFI)

    Next step,start, change language,and Root again the phone, with WIFI connection install Mobileuncle MTK and restore IMEI from SD Card, and Mac WIFI OK.

    And then uninstall all crap chinese software.
