Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

can someone help me newman bought a K2 but not charging, the battery no longer carregei be the mobile phone and the mobile phone loads but then says this charging but not eté decreases, was trying to upgrade to K2 NEWMAN - Update v1.0.5 but I am not succeeding, because my phone without the battery and not recognized by pc

just bought newman k2s… but have boig problems with it ..can anyone help .
i got latest v.201 version
and i got problems with battery… when i charge the phone it blocks ..i have to remove battery to unblock it..and when playing music also..speaker makes weird noise after 20-30 secodns of playing and phone shuts down i have to remove battery again.
help ..would it help if i install another custom rom..v.105?

I've just updated my 1.0.4 to 2.0.1. Of course, I had to do a format, after that my IMEIs were broken (unclemobile helped to fix this).
My problem is that the GPS doesn't get a fix now. I tried to tweak the gps.conf, ntp server, etc. but no luck. With the 1.0.4 I got a GPS fix after a few seconds – it didn't work inside in the house, but it was ok outside or in the car. With the 2.0.1 the gps satellites signals are too weak (I use GPS Status&Toolbox from google play for this).
Anyone with this problem?
I have the same problem with 2.0.1, my GPS doesn´t get a fix now, else the phone works good for me. Can one solved the GPS problem?
I received the phone (ordered from Aliexpress) a few days ago with v1.0.4.
1. No GPS signal is ever received.
2. The wifi reception is consistently 10-20 dB weaker than my other devices (notebook, tablet), as testified by WifiAnalyzer.
Has anyone had a real improvement by changing the firmware or other software tweaks? Or is it rather hardware-related?

Can someone please describe to me step by step what to do?
If the above is about MediaTek SP Flash Tool (mine is V5.1348.0.100), then the quote probably refers to two options:
1. Option/Connection/USB/USB speed/High speed (you may also try Full speed).
2. Option/Download/DA DL All with Checksum
I strongly advise you to fully backup your phone first before flashing anything. You can root your phone with Framaroot 1.9.3 using the Barahir exploit (download: http://forum.xda-developers.co.....o-root-t2130276).
i received the K2S with the last 2.0.1 ROM, and GPS signal is null….

I also had problems installing the latest ROM v2.0.1 with the listed Flash Tool (v5.13.48…)
I downloaded MediaTek SP Flash Tool v5.13.52.200 from here:

When trying to flash via Update or Download I got an error about PMT (Partition Master Table). Flashing via Format and Download worked!
After two weeks struggling to get GPS to work on v2.0.1 I flashed v1.0.5.
I don’t know, if v1.0.5 already has the larger system partition like v2.0.1, so I exchanged the EBR files. Now my Newman K2S runs on v1.0.5 with 2.46 GB system partition.
GPS seems to work fine now. I had a location fix in GPS Test after about 5 min. witg accuracy of 3 meters.
i bought the K2S 3 months ago and i've the same problem eith GPS and battery duration now seem shorter then first day; also i finished the internal memory … with 1.0.5 all is it better? can i use the 25 gb memory for installing app??? thanks a lot
GPS seems to work with v1.0.5.
Storage is still two partitions. Like I wrote, I used the EBR files from v2.0.1. This provides 2.46 GB for Apps and 25.61 GB general storage.
Maybe the app Clean Master can help with the storage issue. It offers me the option to install apps to SD card when installing a new app. I have no external SD card in the phone so Clean Master seems to recognize the phone storage as external SD card. There probably is an option in Clean Master to move apps to SD Card.
Can’t say anything about battery life. Hasn’t changed really in the one month I am using the K2S.
