Well my problems with flash tool got solved by moving folders with rom and flash tool from original folders with chinese characters, to a simple one.
Does it work on G4SM/L (1GB/4GB) version?

laek.17 writes… PD: it is only for G4S, I will adapt it for G4SL.
And I hope the oneself him this successfull.
Please help me!! where is the option "Rom firmware– Upgrade" I only see a Download option!!!!
hi, i've followed the instructions but when i plug the phone (w/o battery) nothing happens.
what am i missing?
Search this version of FlashTool
I did it yesterday I did it based on above description.
I would add some steps in short description (Bold Italic)
Make your laptop recognise the Jiayu for this kind of data exchange you will have to give your laptop the USB USB VCOM Driver when first connecting the Phone without bayttery. It is in the Tools Zip File. Unzip this file. There might be chinese simbols. I renamed some to ´USB´ or ither names on windows XP.. otherwise it would not work. So when you connect the phone without battery via USB, and Windows asks to install driver, select manual, and choose the USB VCOM drivers from your just unzipped folder.
Install ROM (Thanks to SoCr@Te): PD: it is only for G4S, I will adapt it for G4SL.
0. Unpack downloaded ROM
1. Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
2. In Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
3. Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
4. choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed (This step was not needed, it was default setting)
5. Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
7. and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
8. In splashtool select ROM Firmware->Upgrade (In new Splashtool version: you also have to click on the Download button))
8. The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
9. When the green circle (i thought there was a check simbol in it) appears it is Finished !
10. You can now safely disconnect your phone, insert battery and turn it on.
ENJOY!!
Good luck.
PS: It is sad that there are some Chinese apps burned in the rom,. I disabled those (Especailly beacause virusscanner says there ar troyans…) But it is a newer rom with improvements
Error in step two, please help!_small.png)
thanks Dekay99, that's helpful, i'll give a try
Hi
Got the rom loaded onto phone no problem, all works well as advertised but for one small detail. A lot of the apps are in Chinese and I cant read a word of it. Is there anyway to de-chineseify the phone or is there another official 4.4 rom released by Jiayu for the Western Market. Thanks
