DESCRIPTION

This is a factory ROM for ZP998 from a 100% Italian clone, Komu K8, a real KitKat v1 release.

No colorants, no preservatives, no ads – you just add what you want yourself.

Features:

- Real 4.4.2 KitKat, release ver. 1.0 (2014-06-28);

- Multilanguage;
- Enhanced GPS, recommended to use with offline maps (Tom-Tom, Sygic, CoPilot);
- NFC;
- Gesture sensing;
- Smart Wake gestures;
- Printing system

Official change log:
- New SD apps install script;
- Improved Google Apps compatibility;
- New camera drivers;
- Sound and GPU optimizations;
- New GPS control system

Known problems:
- Prompt black screen when starting camera app due to resolution change
- Miracast not working works

Root is easily done by flashing this zip through modded recovery:

https://yadi.sk/d/Fjyv4lM2VNrSK

Download rar archive, extract it (password is 123), put 4.4Root.zip on your sdcard and flash with recovery.

Xposed Framework is working, but it is not included, to keep ROM factory clean. Get it from official xda source (Xposed need root to be installed):

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053

install, activate, reboot, and download modules, i.e. GravityBox KK

Primary partition size can be modded, just get EBR1 and EBR2 files from here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2455850

put these two files to the FIRMWARE folder, overwriting old files, and flash.

You may need to reboot once or twice and reset to factory settings, if partitions size is different from that in your old system!

Modded Recovery for KitKat can be found here:

https://www.needrom.com/mobile/recovery-twrp-2-7-1-0-for-zopo-zp998/

Download it, extract recovery.img, put it into FIRMWARE folder and flash.

This ROM is intended to be flashed with SP Flash Tool (included), all internal memory is lost! (IMEI intact).

Please read included manual carefully before upgrading! Use "Upgrade firmware" and NOT "Download only" in SP Flash Tool!

※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

      I can not tell it for your case, sorry.

      I did. I have put all checkmarks (including uboot and preloader), and my phone is working perfectly, and my IMEI remained intact. Maybe (maybe!) if you by some chance have a Zopo 9250, there is a risk (maybe – i don't know!). If you have Zopo 9250 on the sticker, not a Zopo ZP998, try flashing without these 2 checkmarks first.

    Ok, i flashed with bootloader and it works.
    But with the 7GB EBR files i get an error when SpFT is trying to format.

    And WLAN doesnt work correctly. After a few minutes i am connected there is no connectivity :(

      I had 10GB partitioning on 4.2.2, so i have used 10GB EBR files, too for KitKat.

      Be careful, choose KitKat EBR files and the right CPU model when you choose EBR files!

      You can borrow ready EBR from Marsapa's KitKat mod.

      At least, 10GB version worked for me.

      I tried so many ways, and none gives me a solution..I dont know what to do..

      -moileuncle restore imei – phone app force closes

      -install rom and not whiping the nvram – imei invalid

      -mtdroid tools try to change imei – nothing happens

      -sp flahtools i unchecked one item at the time (always with a working JB rom – invalid imei

    minimind, you should better ask someone close to you to upgrade (and fix now) your phone, if you are unsure. Playing with checkmarks is a sure way to brick the phone. Sorry to hear about your problems. I can not help you a lot, but you should look for help on numerous forums. There are really clever guys around who might help you.
