Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

I just installed KitKat and it's working ok , The only thing it seems a little bit lower is the 3G signal , not bad , but I think it's lower than previous ROM – 4.2.9 .
Battery Life it seems better , faster, it opens apps much faster than before , Speaker it's good ,and finally you can hear better conversations (by default settings) .
GPS works fine, WIFI ok , the phone is responding much faster .
I installed ROM with SP Flash Tools : SP Flash Tool for Windows v.3.1352.01 (5.1352.01) , I have Windows 8.1 – for MTK drivers I just followed this video , very easy:

Tried ROOT with Framaroot as previous 4.2.9 but it won't work , Tried vRoot , Z4root but didn't work .
I also Rooted with Root Genious and it seems to work ok , I'll try some apps that need Root for testing .

all files you will need are in the description also there is the EBR files so your new system will have 7GB for applications ( installations ) and 7 GB Internal SD

after install kitkat proximity sensor can not work
Same happened to me! To be exact proximity sensor works on CPU-Z but on a call after few milliseconds on my ear the screen woke up.

Can you do a Antutu benchmark and look at "device info/others"

it works. both antutu and my last phone call agree on that
Proximity doesn’t work properly for me. When I switch on the phone it works by the first call but when I put off the phone out of ear and put the ear again it doesn’t work. Display is on.

i finally have android 4.4
I went from original ROM 4.2.9 to 4.2.2 and then to KitKat 4.4.2 and I must say that 4.2.2 is much better than this KitKat ROM. I installed Gravity Box on KitKat but couldn't change as much as on 4.2.2. I.e. audiosettings, hide second SIM, etc. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm going back to 4.2.2. The only thing on that ROM is the reversed camera but I guess that this will be fixed in future
What is the Android SDK version in this rom?
17 or 19?
19 means this is real Android 4.4 KitKat, but if it's 17 that means is just masked Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Can anyone say what is the version?
