Install ROM:
Install with SP MDT:
1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.
2). Remove the battery and insert it again
3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device
4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.
5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).
7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).
8). Click "Start all".
9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,
remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.
10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.
11). Completed.

There is an ota update. It checks the system for modifications. I can remove the checks to make it installable but I'm afraid it will mess the things up. This rom is official for x5 or adapted from x5max?
I am not sure but I think that it is adapted from X5 Max
Don´t update, this rom was made for X5 with new board version, it works on old X5 version by unchecking the preloader option, therefore if you update via OTA the wrong preloader which is only made for new board version will be flashed and you´ll get a soft bricked phone.
I actually did the ota update, it overwrites the preloader, it's true. I flashed the old preloader with spflash tools afterwards, and the screen is correct, but it doesn't go past boot logo. I restored the twrp backup directly after that. So the ota update is not meant for this phone.
hello from greece and for me its all ok with this rom (old motherboard) no problem with soft buttons …only problem with youtube but i wiil fixed them…my question is how root the phone??because the links from russian site is down and the kingroot apk or from pc does not rooting….did you know another links with root files please tell me here…thank you
