Install ROM :
Unpack Tools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in TOOLS ( or Recovery CWM 6.0.3.2)
Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
And green circles display
Finish !
You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

So the objective here with Flash_tool.exe is just to flash CWM, and the ROM upgrade from the zip is done afterwards?
I can't definitely install the G4 driver for W7 64bit…

please disable win7 automatic searching for driver update. using manually..
Well, I never got the Flash_tool.exe method working…

Hi guys.
I´ve got some questions. Do i need to unlock bootloader to flash recovery? Is clockwork recovery in english? How do i root the device? Can i flash a rom whitout using "fastboot"?
even i would like to know how to boot into normall recovery ? when i press vol+and power .its just boots the phone up normally .. i tried flashtool .. got error 8200

Dear SoCr@Te, really thanks for all your updates! The ROMS works very well, thanks for all the support we receive from you. I use the phone in the Netherlands, where I have one major issue:
The 3G connection does not work: If I enable the 3G mode (for SIM 1) and while being in a 3G area, the connection drops out completely and tries to reconnect. This keeps going on, and on, and on. If I disable the 3G mode in the settings menu (or I am in a non-3G area), then everything works well (except for that I do not have fast internet anymore, and only have GPRS, then I need to find a Wifi access point).
I see on the internet some other people that have the same issue but no solution yet – does anybody know here what to do with it? Any radio update? Or something else?

I have the same problem in Italy….. 3g connection doesn't work…. do you have found a solution?? In this case this phone is unusable.
Yes i also think that jiayu have problem with 3G it doesnt work for me also and it also have problems
with wifi that drops the signal its very weak.

Hi Jiayu g4 will only work on 2100mhz for 3g so all you guys who can’t connect check which band your operators use. Unfortunately if it is not 2100mhz there is no software fix as it is a hardware issue which is common with Chinese phones
