Install ROM:
 V2 and up

Download desired zip and copy on sdcard.

You need a modified recovery to install the firmware and updates. If you have it already, proceed to step 3. If you don't have, follow these steps:

1. Download Lenovo drivers, unzip the archive. Turn off the phone and remove battery. Open device manager and connect the phone to PC. Watch for new devices. It will be displayed as МТ65хх Preloader. You need to be quick, because it will dissapear in some second. Click on it with the right button and select update driver. Point the wizard to the driver folder, it will install the correct driver automatically.
If it doesn't work with removed battery you can try to power on the phone and turn on developer options in settings or enter meta mode – hold Volume Down and Power buttons. Then connect the phone to PC again.
2. Download and extract Recovery zip and Flash tools. Run Flash Tools, click on DL DA All With Check Sum, load the scatter file located in Recovery folder, uncheck Preloader and hit Download (F6). Remove battery from phone and connect it to PC. When done, a green circle will appear.
3. Enter recovery mode – hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons until you see the logo. Make a backup of your current system first. Install new zip.

※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

If its true about calendar I'll stay with v2.3.4 . But if I change my mind, OTA updater tell me about v2.4.1. Can I just let it download or I should first download 2.4 from here? Will this update restore all apps and settings to default or I can update without worring about backup my files?

What do you mean "if its true about calendar"?

You must install full rom 2.4 first, then update to 2.4.1.

My bluetooth often gets corrupted. i.e. everything sounds fine to my however people say that my voice sounds garbled. To fix the problem I have to unpair all bluetooth devices and then pair them again. However after a short time the problem comes back again.

Does anybody else have this problem? Or more importantly, does anybody have a fix for it?

    I'd be extremely grateful!

      Hi davidinuk

Funny enough I might have the same problem. When my phone is connected to my car Bluetooth I sometimes get complaints from the people I talk to that connection is not good and they have problems hearing me. I thought it is problem with my built in Bluetooth and never even for a second doubt the phone and drivers. Never tried to delete connections and re-connect but to be honest it is too much hustle to do that every time anyway. Suggestions are much appreciated

Maybe not exactly the same but I had a problem with garbled sound using wired headset (original lenovo). Seldom rather, after some several switches mic/speaker<->headset sounds (notification, media) got garbled. So far can't reproduce this problem after last reinstall/wipe.

maybe you are installing something which bugs the system. it happened to me on another android device. after updating some software (cant remember what exactly) the system started to crash constantly. after uninstalling the offending app all went back to normal.

Infrared, can you please tell how to adjust keys vibration, link to guide or something?

You probably too busy to make a patch now, I’m waiting since august…

Well, nevermind, I found out that you can change it with gravitybox.

      Hi,

Key vibrations can be adjusted in framework/framework-res.apk, but this means you have to disassemble the apk, modify the values and assemble again. IF GravityBox works, this is the safest option. I haven't checked new GB versions, so thanks for that information!

Hi. I see in your files the PROTON ROM, I install it, looks great! But I found that the radio dosn’t work. It starts, show RDS information but no sound (
Is it my local bug, or maybe is there a patch to fix it?

Did anyone using this ROM have a problem with GSM radio hangs so that no phone connection can be made or received? Phone app gets stuck on "disconnecting" screen and cannot be closed. I have this problem every few days since changing operator from T-Mobile PL to Play (P4) PL. What helps is reboot or killing the process gsm0710mux which restarts the GSM radio. What is more, the problem exists on 2 identical A820 phones (mine and my wifes) and is common to this ROM and MasterSanta's too. Any solution anyone?

I had that problem with previous versions of the rom but to be honest have not experienced it recently
