DESCRIPTION
Rom for Lenovo S960
- base : Vibe UI 2.0 for S960
- Removed all unusable app
- Added about 70 languages
- The Weather app work as wordwide
Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select the MT6589_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- choose DA DL All With Check Sum
- Turn off your phone
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow, if no, then have to install the driver
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Whats the problem?
I have the same problem. I am using Windows 8 (x64). Under device manager it does detect the phone under "Android Phone" -> "Android Composite ADB interface",
This does not sound right as I saw on other examples it shows up under "Ports COM & LPT" in Device Manager
can i install this rom for my bricked S960?
Yesterday i installed the rom,all seems to work more than fine even the signal can change from engeniaring mode from 2g to 3g and auto.Exept the storage,i have 6gb in first partition and 8gb in second,dont care about this because i dont install games in this device.
ps.For updating su binary must first update superuser app from store.
flash ok but only English and China language? no multilanguage?

baralajbi, nice work! friend bought chinese version and it didn't had slovenian language. only chinese and chinese-half english:) now it's working in slovenian and all the google apps are ready!
windows 8/8.1 users have to disable certificate signing to install drivers.

Thx man, I was having problems with the driver instalation till see your post.
And after udate this happend:
Every time that I tried to access the SMS or Dialer os Contacts I was getting this message "contact manager has stopped". I reseted the phone and got this message again right after try to sync the contacts from google.
Then I reseted again, but now I didn't try to sync the contacts and everything is working just fine.
