You have to follow the Sebstian20 steps:
First upgrade to 1080_0_15CN downloading from the infocus site (use google translator if you not understand chinese !)
Then,a fter the complete ugrade, test if all is working, THEN flash the Socretes's rom with gapps, root etc.
On this rom you will find cleaner app, and with this you can disable some chinese preinstalled apps.

PS. My M512 is working fine WITHOUT any problem from more than 3 weeks (GPS,PHONE, Camera etc etc)
Thanks for the response rdemonte, but this is the first time I've ever had to flash an upgrade or a ROM without a custom recovery and I dont know how to. I downloaded the first upgrade, but I dont know how to flash it, nor do I know how to flash Socretes's rom afterwards :/

I would like to install this rom, but I am not very good at it.
It will be the second time after my old galaxy gio.
The only reason I need the phone to be rooted, it is to use one of the 2 apk on google store that could permit the phone to use ethernet cable through usb.
But I need to know, if the phone is abled, before doing it.
Could anyone be so kind to test it for me?

There are two methods to upgrade with to 1080-0-15:
connect to internet thru WIFI, then go to settings , phone info, software update and then update! (quite slow, but is the preferred method)
OR
copy the file (the biggest one, on the site there are TWO files, one bigger than other, use the bigger) into the sd card thru usb cable or whatever you want, then turn off the phone and turn on with th volume key (UP) pressed: so the device enter in maintenance mode. Select the file to install and install the upgrade following the on screen instructions. Select directly the zip file.
Unfortunately after this upgrade the maintenance mode wil be not more available(!)
Then Install this rom connecting the phone to the PC and clicking on the cmd icon.
Thanks a bunch rdemonte. I figured out how to flash the original ROM using android sdk fastboot and I'm doing the official update now over WiFi
Are you guys able to use the (internal) app updater? I can't it starts downloading and then it gives me an error. I would like to update the contacts, usage and messaging apps etc. :(
Switch the system language to english before using updater.
m512 can not read OBB sc card , i can not play need for speed game

My GPS is dead
, but with the original rom was dead to, i don´t think that is a hardware isue, when a tried GPS test, i get Status No FIX, and you fell the phone heating some. Can some one backup a rom, that i can tried to replaces the files for the gps, ou have some sujestion?

Just selcted my country and in the advanced section (AGPS_SUPL) set Server to supl.google.com and Server Port: 7276 – works for me (germany). This creates or modifies the file "gps.conf" in /sytem/etc.
