Install ROM:
 V2 and up

Download desired zip and copy on sdcard.

You need a modified recovery to install the firmware and updates. If you have it already, proceed to step 3. If you don't have, follow these steps:

1. Download Lenovo drivers, unzip the archive. Turn off the phone and remove battery. Open device manager and connect the phone to PC. Watch for new devices. It will be displayed as МТ65хх Preloader. You need to be quick, because it will dissapear in some second. Click on it with the right button and select update driver. Point the wizard to the driver folder, it will install the correct driver automatically.
If it doesn't work with removed battery you can try to power on the phone and turn on developer options in settings or enter meta mode – hold Volume Down and Power buttons. Then connect the phone to PC again.
2. Download and extract Recovery zip and Flash tools. Run Flash Tools, click on DL DA All With Check Sum, load the scatter file located in Recovery folder, uncheck Preloader and hit Download (F6). Remove battery from phone and connect it to PC. When done, a green circle will appear.
3. Enter recovery mode – hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons until you see the logo. Make a backup of your current system first. Install new zip.

※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

    Hey all,

I need somebody to help me install and run NoLED or its alternative to get notifications for missed events. I Installed NoLED but the accessibility setting keeps deactivating itself to "OFF" instead of keeping On mode to alert me any missed event. I am not sure if the app is not compatible to 4.1.2 or there is tweaks that are needed. Kindly help.

Infrared – grat job with the rom, now my a820 is nice and usable.

Can you add feature that I've seen in asus tablets, that sreen will be darker during loading www sites in browser, after site is loaded it's bright again?  Or it's only their stock browser feature?

    Hi,

I updated my stock a820 ota with s139 version : lost google account and got lots of undesired apps, so I decided to install this rom.

Unfortunately, I have windows 8 so could not install the driver and follow described procedure.

I tried to boot in recovery (good surprise, it was in english. benefit of s139 ?) and install update from zip, but the installation aborted.

Is it due to the fact that this is like a downgrade (s139 to lower version) or due to inapropriate recovery ? Any suggestion to help ?

    Hi all,

So I need to install V1 first, as I am running stock and therefore, have no root (so cannot use CWM, only the stock recovery).

However, everytime I try to use Flashtools, it bricks the phone.  That is to say, I can turn it on, but the screen is black with white lines all over it, and it vibrates.  No text, nothing.

I make sure that the tickbox next to DA DL All with Check is ticked, and the box with the green circle pops up.  But when I go to turn the phone on, the problem arises.  What am I doing wrong?

It is strange that some people get these lines, maybe there are some differences between phines. Try to flash the stock S139 rom from here https://www.needrom.com/mobile.....lenovo-a820-11/ Then flash the CWM recovery, but when you load the scatter file unthick preloader. You need to download the recovery image only. Please make sure you have the A820, not A820T or E, or any other variation (if there are more).

    HI!!

    i need help please….

i have a rooted phone but the recovery was in chainis (i bout it from aliexpress)

i tried to install the driver but it didnt reconaized my phone so i installed "pdanet" driver.

i did what you said on the "flash tool" and it said "not all images corrently loaded whitch may cause boot up issue!do you still want to go on dounloading anyway?" so i clicked "yes"  and in the first time i got round green in the end but i couldn't turn the phone on, i tried several times but now it's stuck on the red color for about 30 sec & than it writes an error/

i can't tern it on! what to do????

(p.s. the computer reconaize it as a"MTK USB PORT(

I think it doesn't recognize the phone nand. Remove all other devices like bluetooth/wi-fi/infrared usb dongles (if you have any)  and any usb sticks plugged in your PC. Leave your mouse and keyboard only. Plug the phone in another usb port and try to install the driver again. When you load the scatter file and hit download make sure usb cable is connected properly and while the flash process is running don't touch anything on the PC.

    it didn't work/

i disconnected all the usv & deleted the existing instalarion' installed the driver  etc– whan i connected the phone it searched for drivers on the internet(windows update) and inatall it again as a "MTK USB PORT"

    1) whay in the first time it reconayed it as lenovo device?

maybe the first installtion change somthing in it so now he doesn't think it's a lenovo?

    2) what to do next?
