This so called "official" 4.4.2 ROM from Mlais is totally a shame and a proof of their incompetence !!!
All Gapps work BUT not the Google Play (Grrrr) as it can't find any internet access whether in Wifi or 3G mode. So impossible to update them and all apps have to be side loaded.
Then trebuchet seems to be very limited and/or in an unfinished statement so customisations of the main and apps panels are are impossible.
The supplied Touch Recovery is in Chinese, so unusable for non chinese people… ^^
Finally the "French PC" keyboard (the one with numerical arrow above the letters remains QWERTY, but this is a common bug with all Mlais/Cyanogen ROM…
This firmware could be a nice one once these mains bugs are corrected.
Mlais, supply an update very quick PLEEEAASE !!!

EDIT : forgot to mention : this firmware is not rootable with actual Framaroot so we have to find an alternative solution if any !!!

Anyone got Google Play working with with original or updated 4.4.2 ROM ???
Don't know what have been done on the updated version, but nothing has changed and the bug is still there and and the firmware is useless without Google Play !!!!!
Sorry to the author of the ROM but have you and how have you tested it before releasing it ??? ^^

Forgot to ask.
Would it be possible to get the source code so I could try to work on it myself ???

@fritzcremninge,
I don't think this is a good idea to use an older TWRP as the partition shema has completly changed between 4.3.x and 4.4.2. So Even if you can flash, it will corrupt all the system and you will soft brick your device. I did myself the experiment… ^^
BTW, it's also not compatible with firmwares in ZIP format (I tried the 4.2.2 firmware with Touchwiz like UI which has no Trebuchet settings, so you can't change the row and column numbers and the like) !!!
So I'll stay with Android 4.3.1 which sounds to offer a better battery life even though the download speed isn't as good as Android 4.3 ?!?!?!

hi, I have an auxus nuclea n2 which is a clone of this phone. I tried flashing and the flashing failed. now the phone wont switch on. please help?

@rohithdivakaran
Sorry for the delay…. I don't know how identical your Auxus nuclea n2 is with the Mlais MX69 Pro but what you could try is to find out an older version of Android : 4.2.2 or 4.3.x (better if it comes from the original brand (if any), then run Flash Tool as you would do normally, then select "Format All + Download" and continue as usual.
I'm not quite sure if this will solve your problem, but you can try… ^^

Hi Rohith,
Any further luck with this rom?

@aerobase
I do not mean this version.
My thought was to use this as a translation, in order to know which options can be selected.

This approach is tedious, but it works for me
4.2 was installed.
I installed with MTK TOOLS, then TWRP recovery from KITKAT.
Phone in the TWRP recovery boot.
Then I created a backup of my apps.
The backup I then swapped to the SD card. Then I installed KITKAT.
Start phone, sim code to enter.
Switch off your phone and then start TWRP.
Create a backup.
They have later to find the full path to TWRP.
Restart phone.
Start the File Manager. The backup file in the TWRP move folders.
Switch off your phone.
Switch the phone on in TWRP
Restore Backup File
restarting
and google Play works.
Translated with Google Translate.
My mother language is German.

Thank you for your input and your tips but I just gave up with this version as I consider it not mature enough and specially with Trebuchet settings missing (as well as root… But it's another story)…
With a 5.7" device and 1080p resolution and only 4×4 rows and colums available, it's so weird and unacceptable. With Android 4.3.1, I setup my display with 7×7 rows and colums which is more comfortable for my daily use…
I finally found out the complete Mediatek Kitkat 4.4.2 source code (I just need the definition files specifically for the Mlais MX69 Pro to build a custom firmware) but I'm still unsure if I will keep this device or not as there are too few sensors in order to replace completly my Galaxy Note 1 (I do even not mention the Wacom stylus which I can live without)…
So this device is just good for reading eBook files and I'm hesitating to swap it with the Huawei Mediapad/Honor X1 7", should I keep 2 devices : 1 as a real smartphone and the other as an eBook reader. I'll miss more the dual sim slots…
I have to think all about this and if it's worth trying to work on a new Mlais MX69 Pro custom firmware. lol :p
CYA… or maybe not…
