Rom for Lenovo P780
base : VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_9_ST_P780_5B7B
Removed all chinese and Lenovo applications whitout camera and gallery
Added GAPPS, ROOT and some stock apps
This rom is multilanguage, contain about 70 languages
Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select the MT6589_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- choose DA DL All With Check Sum
- Turn off your phone, (push the red reset button)
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow, if no, then have to install the driver from Flash toolSP_Drivers_v1.5 folder
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Installed the ROM and find that the Phone, SMS Messaging and Calender are not Lenovo programs. Also unable to force the SMS Messanger to always ask which sim to send the message from.

i have some issues with YOUTUBE aplicataion, it's freezing in the midle of clip and just the sound stay.
Is it possible to take a look of this issue?
I have the same problem .and the google maps after some time crashes repeatly
how can i replace modem.img system dont let me to change it it still v101 after installing v52 recovery mode.google maps still crash notifications some time disapear ,battery drain faster than 4.2.2 version.but i dont wanna change this coz its much faster then all roms that i have tested
how to root it. i want to change modem.img. without root its not changing.i tried many methods but all failed.

I am having little problem with contact numbers.
If my number is saved like Dave – 0167844588 , when dave sends a msg I see it as +60016784458 – it doesnt show as name Dave. Same goes when I get incoming call. Due to this mismatch I think even WhatsApp cant resolve name and contact numers.
Any pointer on this will be great help. I am from Malaysia btw. I think the ROM is treating as here its foreign location and on roaming.
Excellent rom! Definitely the fastest, i had on the p780 so far. Sadly, the built in SMS app doesn't let me choose SIM card to send from :/
