Install ROM :

To unpack Flash run Flash_tool.exe
Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
Click Flash_tool.exe interface Firmware-> Upgrade

Phone after taking the battery in put something
Connect the data cable
Brush finished with green circles appears

 

Install with SP MDT: ( thx palicaj )

Unpack the archive SP_MDT_exe_v3.1304.00_A2013.02.26.rar and archive with the ROM

1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.

2). Remove the battery and insert it again

3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device

4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.

5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe

6). Choose Database Factory menu> Configuration File data source and specify the file MTK_DATABASE.mdb (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

7). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

8). Click File and select the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).

9). choose this options:

Main sensor = ov8825_mipi_raw (back to camera),  Sub sensor = hi253_yuv (front), LCD = LT050ANKP019A (display)

10). The other parameters are fixed, as in the screenshot below.

11). Click "Start all".

12). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer, remove and insert the battery and reconnect it to the computer.

13). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.

14). Completed.

    Hello friend.
    I'm having trouble with my camera back.
    Already atualizer the rom for this indicates that you ROM_N9500_20130419.
    Downloaded the sp_mdt but I think I'm doing something wrong in this program.
    I do not know sp_mdt use. Need to have root access so I can make changes to the sp_mdt?
    In the Data Source is the correct "MTK_DATABASE.mdb"?
    In DA file name which file I select?
    If you can help me, thank you!

      Hi if you use the firmware dated 10/05/13 you should not need to change any sensor settings.

      if you are using earier firmware then you will probley need to use mdt flashtool  to change the sensor settings.

      there is a tutorial on page one how to use MDT.

      you can also look here for tips and tutorials.

    So I just upgrade to the rom "Update Official Star N9500 : N9500.20130510_e2006_v89_jbaol1 (Thx anthony) With CWM" the camera has to work?

    I update with "SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1252.1.104.zip" ?

    Put S5 Rom first
    Root_DelChina_MP_mt89_v9_c05_pulid_jb2_20130321-160914_PC
    when finish upgrade put the Rom N9500

    UPGRADE the same way.

    Then fix the camera with SP_MP.

    I did update to 20130510 and the rear camera did not work.
    I did the procedure @ gustavo posted above but it did not work

    Before installing any rom it worked and stopped, ie, if it already worked before it works.

    I've tried everything and do not know what else to do. I am desperate because it has four days I bought the phone. What else can I do? Can anyone help me?

    I redid the installation of the rom to fix the camera and functioned normally for about 30 minutes. After I open the camera application and opens again only front camera. The rear camera does not open. Does anyone know where can be the problem?

    Anthony, the current situation is as follows:
    There are times when the camera works, sometimes it does not.
    When it does work, I hang up the phone, call him by pressing (volume -) + (power), will in Item Test and test the camera back. Ai call the phone again and it works. Then it stops working again, then I have to redo this process. Yet you think the problem is in the rom?

    No i dont,you did not state that before.

    sometimes sensor changes are needed in the firmware for some devices as cameras do not work or even appear ie when camera is open  you are unable to switch to front etc.

    in your case it seems like a hardware fault.I dont understand calling bit???calls have nothing to do with cameras.

    I think I expressed myself badly because my English is still weak.
    The error that occurs is that at times only open the front camera. The rear camera sometimes does not open. Then I need to restart the phone to camera back working again.

    okay well it got a chance to be 2 things.sensor drivers and a hardware fault.

    first thing to do is flash your device with the very latest firmware 26/05/13 as this will cure if is firmware.

    if problem still persists we need to look at changing the drivers with MDTflashtool.after if there is still a problem then it is hardware and device is damaged.
