Step 1: Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
– Power button + volume button up, to enter the recovery mode.
– Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
– Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
– Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

In lenovo forums i was told that row version is expected in summer.
anybody tried to flash the normal 4.4.2 GAPPS , does it work properly??
Yes GAPPS works fine, there are 2 versions, minimal and normal and both work fine, just flash through recovery, either by using my TWRP method mentioned earlier or NICOLDY's method by renaming the GAPPS file to update.zip and flash through the normal stock recovery.

I've tried to root my S650 through flash tool by following these instructions:

Is it possible to install this custom rom with that procedure and with CWM recovery?

I think I just bricked my phone. Stucked at Lenovo Logo.
I can boot to TWRP 2.3.6. And updating to ROM failed. MD5 File not found. Please help me.
You are not bricked, you just need to reflash the phone using flash tool ( reccomend using s119 rom found on the s650 page of roms ) re-root and load TWRP the same way you did first time
You need to make sure then when you come to load TWRP again it is the CN version and not the ROW version, thats why you get the error message and then flash this rom in recovery , make sure you wipe cache, dalvik and data first and be patient with first boot, it can take a while
Thanks for your reply @bluerichblue. That's what I did. And it worked. Now I'm using LENOVO S650 VibeUI. However, backlight of softkeys doesn't work? Is anyone having the same problem?
It does not work yet on this rom but i don't see it as that important or something that prevents me from using the phone properly but bear in mind is only first release of the kitkat android version and still in development, so updates and fixes will follow about every 2-3 weeks from experience !
