I would like to extend thanks to eryen, mexus and ah_es_2000 for their dedication and help.
I've installed the eryen's ROM on my X2-CU after backing up my NVRAM partition. (I used the recovery.img submitted by ah_es_2000. So, thanks ah_es_2000 again).
After installation, only one SIM worked (as both SIMs had the same IMEI!!!!). Also, the phone's Serial Number was lost.
I believe that restoring NVRAM will bring back original IMEI, WiFi MAC address and modem fine tunnings (as mexus told me). So, thanks again mexus.
The problem now is that I can't get my phone rooted in order to restore NVRAM.
    Does anyone have a solution?
    Thanks in advance.

Copy your NVRAM backup to device again in windows. (TWRP folder in root of device)

Install TWRP 2.8.6.0 again with SP_Flash_Tool,

Boot into recovery mode directly, via Vol+ Vol- and Power Button combination. Relase Power button when device vibrated.

Restore your NVRAM backup in TWRP.

You need to delete data/nvram folder to refresh setting.

You can use File Manager in TWRP again. Browse to data/nvram, click blue button and select delete.

At this point you can root your device also by flashing SuperSu.zip from https://download.chainfire.eu/.....perSU-v2.49.zip

Hi eryen – firstly thanks for the great job! I backed up my NVRAM and have successfully upgraded my CU rom to lollipop AP. SO far so good.

But now when I go to flash TWRP the SP Flash Tool gives giving me an error: 'PMT changed for the ROM; must be downloaded'.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

      Power off your phone

Hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power

Release the power  button when device vibrates.

(Thanks to eryen who gave me the hint)

    Worked great for my X2-CU.

Here's how to make it work on X2-CU:

    1. Download the ROM and SP-Flashtool. (credit to eryen who initiated the thread and uploaded this great ROM and tools)

    2. Download X2-CU TWRP recovery image. (credit to ah_es_2000. The link is in one of his replies above)

    3. Flash the X2-CU TWRP recovery image to your phone using the SP-Flashtool. (credit to eryen)

Here's How to do it: http://www.theandroidhow.com/2.....flash-tool.html

    4. Boot in recovery by pressing Volume-Up + Volume-Down + Power, release the power  button when device vibrates. (credit to eryen)

    5. Through recovery, make a backup of your NVRAM, then reboot your phone and copy the folder TWRP to your computer. (credits to eryen and ah_es_2000)

    6. Install the X2-AP ROM. Follow the instructions in the original post. Use "FORMAT ALL + DOWNLOAD". Don't worry, you have yor NVRAM. (credits to eryen and ah_es_2000)

    7. Reboot your phone.

    8. Download X2-EU/AP TWRP recovery image. (credit to eryen. The link is in his original post)

    10. Flash the X2-EU/AP TWRP recovery image to your phone using the SP-Flashtool with a similar procedure to step 3.

    11. Boot in recovery as you did in step 4.

    12. Through recovery, restore your NVRAM, then reboot your phone.

    13. Have fun! You've done it successfully.

Thanks to everyone who cntributed to the success of this post. Great thanks to eryen, mexus and ah_es_2000 for their continuous support.

I install AP rom to my X2-CU and I replace the modem file as your step. Both SIM work fine. It is very nice to use Android 5.0.

But I can't get location from GPS when I use GPS Status & Toolbox and keep opening it over 2 hours. I try to use engineer mode to get location through GPS or YGPS. I can get location about 1 or 2 mins. WHY!!! SO STRANG!!! Does anyone have the same problem like me?

Hi goodafternoon!!! Is your lenovo vibe x2-cu still works perfectly with the custom ROM that Mr. Eryen provided (lollipop). I want to upgrade my lenovo vibe x2-cu with this custom ROM. Any additional advice aside from your tutorials in the 3rd page of the comments box.

Hello I did the 11 steps of YoYo2nd and when I go to restore NVRAM at TWRP at Restore section no backup found. Why that happened? I attach photo of TWRP folder and from mobile (TWRP).

YoYo2nd i followed your instructions. It all worked until the end, but when i do the final reboot it keeps going to the recovery menu. The same if i try power off and then power on. I also deleted the data/nvram folder as suggested by eryen in one of his replies to you. any ideas on how to boot normally? thanks!

Thanks for the detailed instructions, but for some reason I just couldn't get TWRP to flash! I ended up installing the 4.4.2 AP version eryen also uploaded and that worked fine! I think it's probably better anyway as from what I head Lenovo have plenty of Lollipop bugs to iron out!
