    ericp2 ,

Thank you for your kind reply. I did check that the files replaced in /system/etc/firmware have the correct access rights (rw-r-r). And when I retored the nvram through TWRP, I only selected nvram. The problem was the same, phone rebooting every 5 minutes.

    So… I'm back to kit kat…

@ferrsi, sorry to read that. i am running out of ideas… one more: the TWRP for CU is not the same as the one for EU/AP, because the file system layout is not the same. you must have obviously correctly backed up your NVRAM from CU, or you would not be able to run Kitkat now.

When you install the AP S223 rom you must make sure that you select "format all" (attention! only for CU to AP conversions!, otherwise, it's download only with checksums for same model updates/upgrades!).  the TWRP that you flash after that (download only) must then be the one for AP/EU, not the one for CU…

This is the only thing left i can think of, but i suppose that if you managed to re-install kitkat CU, you must know that already…

Review all the steps, you may have missed something somewhere…good luck… shame if you can't install this rom, it's much better than the KK one in my opinion.

ericp2 , I've tried again, following all the steps with much care. And…

It worked! Lollipop running pretty much stable (besides one or two system crashs), and now I'm confortable on the idea of leaving it as my operational system.

Thank you for you patience, and for inspiring me to try again.

Hi there, I'm thinking of moving to AP version, of course lollipop one. But there is an issue in my current CU version that annoys me very much: the screen sensitivity. Is the mistyping issue solved in this android 5 version? Any answer would be appreciated.

No, I have the same problem… Typing problem is not fixed, some phones has this problem, is not because of the version model.

I algo have a bug before typing PIN CODE, but this happends because I have changed modem file from modem of CU version.

Any other thing, works better with this rom than the other i had, original CU.

Thank you toblanko but I'm a bit worried about this because I use the phone mostly for writing emails, which is almost impossible with this sensitivity issue. Maybe I will wait until someone works it out.

chek in this thread how to root and how to install recovery. To boot recovery: press power + volume UP&Down, and whe you notice the vibration, you leave the power button but keep pressing volume UP&Down.

Once you were in the recovery, when you leave the recovery, you will get a message asking you for rooting it

Lenovo rom have a script, that will replace recovery on every boot. So after you flashed twrp recovery, you need to boot into twrp directly. Or rom will replace it.

Vol up+vol down+ power. Release power button when you feel vibration.

When twrp booted correctly, will disable replace recovery script.

Both of my SIM cards can be recognized by this Lollipop release. However whichever SIM card being specified in "register for 4G/3G services" for data service, the SIM card will be in the loop forever with the repeated attempts in activation. This explains why only one SIM is working, no data service and the battery drainage issues. If I deactivate the targeted data SIM by intention, the battery will not drain off that fast as there is no more infinite data activation. Could you investigate why the data SIM activiation for LTE is impossible? I have been using data connection with X2-AP (S125) with the same SIM card prior to this upgrade and I strongly believe it can be fixed. Please advise.

so I also made a flash Lenovo VIBE X2 – X2 at CU-AP_ROW_S223. All the instructions were forced OK.
However, after about polhodineprestala operate one SIM card and into the morning went wrong when the two SIM cards. So I repeated the process and I proceeded as follows:
    1) with the included FlashTools I recorded X2-AP_ROW_S223_150528 (all Format + download)
    2) through FlashTools I recorded (download only) and recovery TWRP-v2.8.4.0_X2-EU-AP_Lollipop_5.0 (as TWRP-v2.8.6.0_X2-EU-AP_Lollipop_5.0 did not work on my device)
    3) When you press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power I got into recovery and I did NVRAM backup through Restore (to turn on the phone, I found the exact way to back up NVRAM)
    4) I turned on the phone and connect it to the PC. I found in the phone directory TWRP / Backups / Lenovo_X2-AP_MT6595 / 2009-12-31–18-01-02_X2-AP_S223_150528_ROW (that was saved backup NVRAM). 3 items I deleted them and nahraldil Back up NVRAM, which I did at the very beginning. I unplugged the phone from the PC and turn off it.
    5) When you press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power I got into recovery. I pressed Beckup. There I had the aforementioned and let myself start restoring NVRAM. after the work I have done reboot.
    6) phone started up as usual for the first time a little longer, but Lollipop 5.0 was launched.

when activated wifi is no error did not show NVRAM. I checked the IMEI. to SIM1 and SIM2 have been different (correct) IMEI.
in Device Information I have the following:
    Model number: Lenovo X2-AP

    Baseband version (Slot 1): X2-AP-L.V2.2015 / 05/20 16:26
