   Cifu has i said before, i and a few people had a very similar problem with an earlier version, the rom would install but was buggy, i manage to download the rom from another link and all was good. I think it was the 1.03 revision. I just want to give it a try from another source…

   @Cifu, @Xnyle + other whit GPS issue

   Please let me share my status of GPS. First of all – i don't think that it is HW issue. If one day you could work whit GPS perfectly and after upgrade it is really really pure. (Swich back slove it = SW Issue). I'm not developer but here placed sentence about changes in UBOOT sounds like explanation (issue whit driver and handling of GPS data)… is someone able to chcek diference in UBOOT?

   After swich to 1.8.1 I was not able to fix GPS in GPS status aplication – even after 2-3 hours.Then I try Fllufy set up (999/999 3D fix) – same as you fix in arround 30 seconds.After that I can fix GPS status in navigation, GPS status aplication.

   But in navigation i see enother behaivout than Cifu – I'm using TOM TOM – and it looks that TT has some kind of  rounding signal to nearest road…. So I can't confim positioning diference 200-500 meters.

   But durein my morning drive (150 km)- I lost GPS position maybe 10 times.Then it was fixed in 30 seconds and than It move my "position" back to nearest road on map…

   So I thing I have nearly same issues like you but TT solve it littly bit difrend then Sigic.Not happy whit it but at least is usable like secondary navigation source.

   And mote: Is funny how someone complain about not accepteble issue whit phone for 300 USD- sorry did you catcht taht same configuration from 100% companies are 500-600 USD? It was your decision bay cheper one.

     because I have also at home Amoi N850 – 150 $ – who is better better with very good GPS, 3G, etc …. ZP998 is not a cheap phone but no works like half prices phones !!!!

   And forgot to ask – I have same issue whit CAR internal hands free like was asked here already.

   Whit stock ROM it was impossible to make a call via it. After some fllufy (THX fllufy) work I can pair devices and make calls, But it is impossible to acces contact list and names:( tried everything what i find out. On official forum someone advice me how he did whit his car – not working. (pushing from car not help, pushing from phone not help too)

   Missing names when i get call in car is frustrating.

   What I investigate  - I could synchronized names of contact which has "joint skype account". Find out that skype make skype contact group. But nothing whit new grouts helps…(see only contacts who has cell phone contact and Skype under one name – Only skype contacts are not visible)

   Please do you know what could be changed on contact when "skype joints" on contact? Maybe it is solution for my issue… (to change on every)

   (I'm in car more than 4 hours per day – for me it is maybe bigger issue than GPS, have one integrated)

   I bought a  Nokia LD-3W Bluetooth GPS and tested some navigation i get 11/12 satellites and accuracy 2-4m . Car navigation with google maps went much better(about 20km with no problems) but running with apps like sport tracker and nike+ were disaster my route was like 20-100m off . I think there is something wrong with maps and this phone. Have somebody tested different versions of gapps.

   I bought a used BT TomTom GPS receiver and with sygic it works awesome..

   For $20 – 25 you can find them on ebay..

   I have to try sygic or some other navigation tomorrow . I think everything that directly uses google maps are messed up in this phone/sw version like those cycling/runner apps.

   I use Sygic and when I go to settings GPS materials I see the satellites appear and disappear every 5-10 seconds. If I have for example 6 satellites very good they appear all and disappear all together every 5-10 seconds
   So Sygic cannot work properly
   In the city, sometimes it places the car 2 or 3 streets from mine! And absolutely cannot give me the way to drive

   Will someone confirm my experience with the GPS:

   If I remeove the back cover (and thereby the NFC antenna), the SNR gets 10-15% better!

     It surprises me that not one of you complaining about the GPS did try this and answered, since I think I found something that led me to a quick and dirty fix of my GPS, that makes it (almost) usable for navigation in the car. But since one test does not mean anything I hoped some others to repeat my experiments.
