GPS is NOT better with a_bait ROM.
It does the same as all the others.
Yeah. I get fix much faster but gps is still all over the place and useless
@laszlok: about the clock, I noticed some strange date settings in some logfiles of for instance titanium backup or the integrated network usage statistics. June 2015 always show up there.
I already thought of this being a rtc problem which then would also influence gps, but thats all a bit fuzzy right now.

For calculating the distance from the satellites, and thereby the position, it is eesential to have a very accurate clock. The phone has to know exact when the radiowave was sent by the satellite, and when did it arrive. The time shift gives the distance. We are tolking about nanoseconds. If the clock is not synced right, or if the calculation is inexact, or the wave is interfered/drops out – the positioning fails. We don´t know which is the case, not even if only one of them or all of them might fail, at the same time or separately.
We don´t even know in who´s hands it all to find, MTK, Zopo, Google?
It is a huge mistake of Zopo not to take care of it. To lose confidence goes very quickly, and after this, I think their market share will drop and maybe never climbe again.

All over the world there is a lot of forums now, of websites …and a bad reputation can arrive very very quickly ! There is a lot of other phones than Zopo
Direct contact with Zopo?
Does anybody know how to contact Zopo? The Zopo Mobile Shop as some ppl think being it's official chanel does not answer to any questions, and I'm not sure how official they are.
Anybody with some proper information?
I already wrote to every "official" zopo e-mail address I could find. The only answer I got was from zopomobileshop stating that they had no intention of helping me as I didn't buy the phone there. So much for customer support.
Sad thing is, they are in good (bad) company with oll the other chinese or even korean companies. customer support / updates / communication… go fly a kite
IOcean at least sent out a repair kit for the X7 but the fact that it took them over half a year doesn't make me feel confident about getting help from Zopo anytime soon.
I just can't understand how they repeat the same error over and over again, GPS has (with a few exceptions like the Newman N1) always been a nightmare on chinese phone.
Maybe the problem (besides the nonexisting support) is the SOC most chines phones use= MTK?
What did iOcean? Is that the back cover with a GPS antenna you mean?
Well the N1 also had an MTK 6577 and the GPS was really good, instant fix everytime and very accurate.
iOcean sent out new GPS antennas and some conductive fiber combined with instructions where exactly to put them on.
Not sure what you mean when talking about the back cover. back cover ist only nfc!
The Amoi N850 also has a very good GPS
Well, I had a Zopo C2 – not very brilliant GPS. Also a Cubot 6" – just about usable.
So I'm not impressed by the MTK SOC. My old HTC Desire never lost the way, ever!
