In the original ROM V3 (G4S-20140816-190609), Superuser, even if enabled in Settings, is not working.
You put the boot.img in the rom (rename boot.v3.fixsu.img –> boot.img) and after you flash your mobile

Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Upgrading from official KitKat 2014-07-24 went ok!
Before upgrading I changed modified boot.img for rooting purposes. Thank you pudil! I unchecked "cache" and "userdata" in SPFlashTool. So no reinstalling or restoring necassary.
I'm the creator of the modified boot.img!

I do have the display problem too! As i start the phone the screen stays black with minimal backlight, no boot animation no nothin. With the usual keys I maybe get into recovery, but the screen does not turn on ether this way. After the normal bootup time, I press the power button to really turn of the screen and push it again, the screen comes on with the PIN pad…
Can anyone reproduce this problem?
I did have this since the first stock 4.4.2 from Jiayu
when booting only black screen and cant boot recovery mode, I instaled via mobiluncle but dont work only black screen
you need install the revocery by sp flash tool, uncheck all, change the recovery.img by yours, and use the Download only option.
dont install by mobile uncle this rom only is for install by sp flash tool, if you install in other way you will get strange bugs
All this issues below means you have Jiayu firmware incompatible for their current KitKat roms. I have few of these incompatible phones. They only work with Android 4.2 if you upgrade any of KitKat 4.4 roms you will have these issues below:
- black screen, bootanimation not working, Recovery not working, 3Mpix Camera, Inverted Cameras
Have you check the camera with this rom? mine is bad, they invert the megapixels and put 3 megapixels to rear camera and 13 megapixels to front camera
Efectivamente, a mi me pasa igual. Pero no puedo volver a la versión anterior o cualquier otra versión, por que me quedo sin calibarar la pantalla. Menudo chasco. Además, el root es inestable, se pierde fácil. Además, también perdí el bot de inicio, aunque pude recuperarlo con MTKdroid tools, así como los IMEIS que también perdí en alguno de los flaseos. En fin, a la espera de una actualización o sulución. Tengo que elegir, entre cámara rota o pantalla sin calibrar…… una kk. Con que hubiera un parche para la cámara…. no estaría mal…
I flashed v3. I agree with sikke… seems I also have all these problems. In recovery mode, the screen touch accuracy is off also. Anybody experience this? I tried flashing other roms such as AOSP 4.4.2 TF and screen touch is also inaccurate. Basically, once you flashed latest official 4.4.2 KK, then all other roms based on lower/earlier version will have screen problem? It only works on stock 4.4.2 KK, but it has bugs. Any fix on these problems?
What about v3? Have problems?
hi, could some confirme if its possible to afther install this jiayu 4.4.2 v3 rom, install a recovery (ex:philz) a reeinstal a costume 4.4.2 rom (ex: solanyka, aosp 4.4.2 tf v2)?
i ask this becouse off a "bug" my phone have with "process.android.phone.com stop working" that wappend on jiayu 4.4.2 v1.

to fix the camera in the v3 rom change libcameracustom.so in system/lib, i remplaced with the v2 G4S-20140724-114258 because this file in the last rom is not working good
juliotec where can i find this file? i haven't this rom and i don't know how to put it out from disk image file!

Does anyone have a fix for Hackbarth's display problem?
Despite the warning, I flashed this ROM on my G5S-16GB/2GB. Now the touchscreen is completely unusable.
I thought flashing an older G5S official ROM would fix the problem, but the problem persist.
It looks like the screen calibrationis is overwritten somewhere, but can't be overwritten again by flashing a compatible ROM.
