DESCRIPTION

>>>>Xiaomi.eu drop'd the support of weekly ROM's for all the Android 4.4 based Xiaomi Phones. They will only release Stable for these Android 4.4 Phones. The Version 6.11.3 will be so far the last real Multilanguage ROM Port. I will port the stable rom as soon as it's been released.<<<<

Hello,

i present you a port of Xiaomi's MIUI 8 to our Zopo phone (mainly 980/C2).

Base work is made by Vell, a great friend and mentor in case of porting this rom to our Zopo phone.
I will continue his work as far as i can.
I have a Zopo 980 2/32 so i test every port i will release here. And my native language is german, i can speak and write english but for russia i have to use Google Translate, so be prepared :(

Original Topic is here.

In case of bug's, Errors, Problems:
Please give me as much Info as possible, my Crystal Ball is not ready yet, still need some parts for it. :( but still keep in mind, i port this in my free time, and in case of bigger, deeper problems i have to consult others, i don't really have the deep knowlage of Android programming and/or porting. All i know, comes from Vell, his help and his post, where i helped out too, like many of you may know.

:) only the power (shutdown) menu’s background and the final part of boot animation are decentrated in HD resolution.
The update is perfect! Thanks Dave!

    Hi Dave!

Thanks for the update! Why when I reboot the phone it makes a dalvik cache wipe every time?
It takes a long time to boot.

      Hello Redfox91,

Thanks for the report. I did'nt notice it, because i don't make reboots, only if i make testruns with Rom's and than it's normal; so i did'nt recognize them. Sry, i will take a look into it for the next release and hope i can fix it.

Another question: did this "bug" happen in previouse version too? or is it just the last release?

Thx for the hint, so it could be a kernel issue. Need to test it if I have some time (currently at night shift til Monday morning).

And if I take a screenshoot and try to send it rapidly (by whatsapp) when it is in the upper right corner of the screen, system ui crashes together with the notification bar, that appears again after few seconds. Thanks Dave!

Hmm, this bug I can’t reproduce. Did try it with the button in the swipe down menu and with the 3 finger downswing method. Everytime I could tab the preview pic in the upper right corner and could send it via whatsup or other messenger. But I keep it in mind. Thx for reporting it.

E' chiederti troppo la possibilità di averla anche in lingua italiana?

      Hello Capron,

sry, but i try'd it many, many times to translate it in more languages, but sadly i had no luck, after installing the translated ROM it makes a bootloop or stuck while booting. But i will try it some more times, maybe i find a way. If someone can help me with this i would be happy. At the moment i try to translate with jBart.

      Dave

Be prepared, it follows google translation of the above text ;)

      Ciao Capron,

    MIUI6.9.1 v60 now released!

[U] Base firmware changed to 6.9.1
[U] Open Gapps updated to pico-20160904

If the Problem with the Updateprocess after rebooting still exists (not the first time, that is normal) a clean (factory reset) installation will help, but you have to reinstall all your apps again . I can't find the problem what causes this bug. I will try to include Titanium Backup in the next release, which will make it a bit easy for you (depends on time i get). Titanium Backup is a verry powerfull app where you can make backup of all your apps including data. It also can extract from TWRP backups :).

I recommend you to take a look at the app, it is really worth it. You can download it from the App Store, try it out. Make backups of all your things you have on your phone (even call history) and in the next release (hopefully) you can install Titanium Backup from within the installation process.

Here are 2 Videos of tutorial or in-depth Review of Titanium Backup.

Well, the Problem with the "Updating Apps" at a reboot still exists after a clean install, sry. I still can't find out where the bug lies…. i still trying something out. I will get rid of this annoying bug. But if you can life with it (it only comes up if you make a reboot) let it be.

    Short Info from my side.

I found the problem what was causing the "Updating and Optimizing App's" at every reboot or startup. So far i can tell it was a issue with the actual GApps i had implemented into the last ROM. I tested it out now with a GApps version wich is from end of august.

There is still a problem. If the next weekly is out and uploaded from my side, than you can try out the "normal" upgrad way, means: Go into TWRP, make a Backup and install the new weekly. If the "bug" still exists, than you need to make a clean install, because of the GApps. I try'd out the normal way with installing GApps (from end of august) and short after Phone was on the Google service crash'd and i could'nt send my phone into sleep with the power button. But the clean install help'd and i could restore all of my apps, data, call-history, accounts (using new implemented Titanium Backup :)). I made many reboots and they were like normal, no "updating app" screen. Oh, and if you like to use the Titanium Backup, don't restore the Google services and Playstore, only restore the accounts (xml) only. The restoring with Titanium Backup works best if you had make backups with Titanium Backup, but you can restore from TWRP Backups too (See homepage or help of Titanium Backup).

I recommend not installing GApps and Super User if you make a "normal" upgrade to the new weekly. If you do a clean install than it is indeed necessary to install both of them.

For a really clean install i recommend this way: Go into TWRP (make your backup!!!) after finish go to main screen->Wipe->Advanced Wipe and select Cache, Dalvic-Cache, System and Data. Swipe to right and after finish go to the main screen->Select Reboot->Recovery After a successfull reboot into Recovery you can install the new weekly with GApps and SuperSU + aditional Apps you like (Titanium Backup to restore all).

If someone has questions, plz feel free to write a comment here. Well, than let's hope the next release will be less "painfull" :(

    Dave
