How to install the ROM

You have to use my Unoffical TWRP 3.6.1 Recovery to flash your device later. The file in the attachment is zipped and valid for the TWRP Recovery (don't extract the rom zip!)
Please backup NVRAM and IMEI with TWRP BEFORE flash! If you lose your MAC / IMEI after flash, you can restore it in 2 seconds!

First time installing the ROM
Boot into TWRP -> delete Dalvik, Cache, System and Data -> Install the ROM ZIP -> Install GAPPS -> Restart your phone -> thats it!

Upgrade from earlier version
Boot into TWRP -> delete Dalvik, Cache, System -> Install the ROM ZIP -> Install GAPPS -> Restart your phone -> thats it!

Bugs and how you can fix it

- to reduce flickering on apps (only few have this issue), go to: settings -> developer options -> animation duration scale -> animation off

- Video recording inverted color (workarround: any third party camera)

One thing is not fully implemented yet: Dual-SIM. Although both cards work, but you can not choose seperate tones for each card (ringtone, alarm, notification).

For people interested for 3rd party twitch apps, recently the app impulse, by orange muffin introduced an experimental player and its working perfectly fine with 14.1.

hi guys,

i'll switch to another device for development soon. i'll looking for another CUBOT device (maybe J3 or R11 or even better soc)
Depends on the price (don't want to spend much money for it)

so i guess last time LOS14.1 with 2019-01-05 will comes and it's EOL for me then.

Cubot R11

same CPU, same GPU, same RAM,

a little bit better display resolution,

lower battery capacity (2800 vs 4150 mAh)

… hmm … no reason for me to buy a new device

  The ROM is pretty stable. Otherwise you can go for LineageOS13 when you don't want to test my LineageOS14.1

Maybe you try both Lineage ROMs. LineageOS14.1 has some minior bugs and LineageOS13 is bugless. Both have very new security patches

And go first for my TWRP (flash it with spflash tool)
