that program let's you edit/create the gps.conf file. i guess it's ok, but does not make a difference if you edit it by hand or with that app.

Ok today i received my Umix2 turbo! (and everything seems to work fine till now) I would like to ask you how can i backup the existing defoult ROM of my mobile. So i can save it before i try new Roms.
I installed Rom manager but it asks me to SETUP COSTUM RECOVERY.
i have ''install or update Recovery'' > Clockworkmod recovery
or
''recovery already installed'' > Clockworkmod recovery
When i select the ''recovery already installed'' it says that my phone is not listed above. > when i click on it it askes me ''confirm version'' > clockworkmod 2.x or 3.x+
What should i choose?
Is there any other way simply to backup my entire original ROM?

Ok. My gps in my new phone connects in 2 seconds. I used google map, navigation and wazee. Eeverything fine it seems. Umi has optimized it i think.
No, UMI has not optimizes anything about GPS with the last updates.
GPS is most likely hardware/antenna problem.
GPS fix may be fast but GPS connection is bad. you will see.
Well i did the backup of the ROM. but i dont know why i cant install the ''update'' of this Rom. I Tryed in recovery mode by mobile unckle> install zip from sd card (even internal) but none of them finishes. The robot becomes red. Saying it cant open the file. HOw come ? I have the phone rooted. May it be Recovery problem ?

i have installed the recovery.img in mobile unckle.
than i open Mobile unckle > Recovery Update > Select the recovery file mounted in the SD card > Flash > Recovery mode (boot) > Install Zip from SD card >I select the Zip file downloaded from here (the last version only) ''UMI X2 – Update 07/19/2013'' without installing other Roms. > Confirm > INstall ! and here i get error.

The phone is rotted with superSU. ANd the Rom present is the factory Rom.
Do i have to install the This Rom first and after that the updates ?! What i am doing wrong ?!

maybe a bad zip file? Did you try redownloading the rom?
I thought so, but i redownloaded the ROM this one 2 times and the New one you gave me 1 time. I also thought maybe bad ''recovery cwm'' but i tryed 3 different ones. No change. I really dont understand

Really strange ! Cos i tryed from external SD and also internal memory. Same broblem
that leaves you only to try the spflash method.
i thought flashing rom with shuame program. but it recognise the UMIx2 turbo as Samsung galaxy S2 and i dont know if i can flash anyway the umi rom zip folder or not
. In mtk droid it appears as Umix2 but in shuame as Samsung S2.
