I installed this ROM WITHOUT cleaning Dalvik/userdata or factory reset. Everything is working fine. UMI X2 (NOT Turbo) now scores 12762 on AnTuTu 4.0.1.
Has this rom the otg available?
Hello, to increase the wi-fi signal you must do a mod in phone antena with aluminum foil, just I did and it increases a lot, when before I get only 500kbs and less, now I get 3mb +. Search in you tube for ” how to fix gps and wi-fi on star S5, watch the video and do the same.
Hey, I have tried this 'mod'. I was able to kick mine up from 0.32mb/s to 1,5-2.2 mb/s, I still hope to get some more out of it, seeing 3G is still more than twice as fast as that… Could you tell me what the dimensions of your aluminium foil were. I have tried several so far and best result was with 7x4cm folded triple. Thanks

Is there a way to change the storage mount points? When I insert an SD-Card into my X2 it's mounted as SDCARD0 and the internal storage is mounted as SDCARD1. That's very annoying, because apps crash, because they where installed when no SD-Card was inserted and assume their data is on SDCARD0 (Which gets switched to SDCARD1 when a sd-card is in the UMI)
Problem solved:
I edited the void.stab file located in system/etc. I changed it to this:

Only trick is to use an editor on the phone itself and make the changes there. If you edit the file on your PC and copy it back to your UMI, the phone gets stuck at boot.
Now my UMI X2 is finally working like a charm. Just one chinese app left, but it seems to be a necessary Android file and does nothing. No chinese apps visible in the app-drawer and no more chinese spam messages.
Do any of you have the same problem with camera flash? When I enable flash (automatic or not) the picture is taken a little after the flash is out. The result is a dark image. I have this problem with all ROMs I used.

hi, i didnt use that type of aluminium foil, i use aluminium adhesive tape instead, its better because it glues over the antenna, you can get it in stores that sell heating or freezing acessories, so i cut some strips with about 5mm wide and 2cm long, and another fews with the same wide but with 1.5cm long, then i put one by one and test the speed of internet until i get the best result, i use 4 layers to complete the L shape, the best away to get best results is a try and error, i have made after do it in mine umi in one of a friend and i glue 4 strips and the i cut with a scissor the L shape foil, and then glue it over the phone antenna, and it was much faster, in mine i was about a entire morning to get the best result, some times you just move 1 or 2 mm and the speed it changes a lot.but if you went from 320kbs to 2mb its not bad but you can have much better result i must say you can go over 4mb, when i dont have made the mod i get signal but no sped and now in the same place with the same signal(2 bars) i get 4 to 5mb of speed( i have fiber 30mb).so try to get some adhesive tape and you see its better.

Thank you for the aluminium tape tip, I have tried it out, so far spend about 1,5 hours on it. And is a lot easier to adjust than folding foil, haha. Still no perfect signal, am able to kick it up to an average of 3 mb/s in the location were I previously scored 0.3. Problem is that the speedtest apps jump around a lot, not sure if it is the app/phone/router/internet provider, even when no adjustment has taken place, I can sometimes score 7mb/s followed by a 2mb/s download speed. Any ideas on how to even this out? Still a long way to go, hopefully can be improved a lot more, standing next to the router I get about 27mb/s..
Another question, my gps signal seems to be even more unreliable/blocked, I suspect it is the foil intervening with the gps, do you have this as well?
p.s. sorry guys for hijacking this rom thread into a wifi mod thread
