Can I update to this 31082013 rom without factory reset or clear user data/dalvik cache?
I did that on the last update and I was very happy I don't have to install all apps again.

Tommy, I heard that the 0830 changes the size of /data to 5GB. In your new firmware I did not see it. So it should be?
That's not possible. Cause you have to use SP tools flash to flash the PC versioin to re-partition your internal storage. The sd card version doesn't re-partition. But after you flash the PC version, you can flash the sd card version and the partition will remain.

I have the build number UMI X2 20130830-102527 and the partition size for internal memory is 5GB currently. If I apply this update (TR-Based-on-310820131.zip) , will my partition size chnage or remain same? The current version does not permit me to change the property of /system/app from RO to RW hence I can't access the said folder. Will the limitation be removed , if I flash this update?

Veo que has instalado la actualización última de hace pocos días.
¿Te importa decirme los pasos que has realizado para poder instalar esta actualización?.
No entiendo mucho de esto pero no me agradan las pantallas en chino que salen, sobre todo cuando recuerdan que hay que actualizar esos programas chinos o cuando recibo mensajes en chino. Por eso quiero actualizarlo, para no ver los mensajes y programas en chino.
Según dices las aplicaciones chinas ya no salen en el móvil. Pero ¿hay que reinstalar muchas aplicaciones europeas que no se instalan con esta nueva versión?.

Yo he hecho lo que decían en este post macsga:
Install ROM:
1) Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
2) Download the recovery.img ( put in your SD card )
3) Start MobileUncle Tools ( Download on Goolge play )
4) Select Update Recovery ( choose recovery.img )
5) Mobile reboot in CWM and and follow the instructions( if recovery is in chinese look tutorial "CWM for MTK Platform" )
In the recovery mode.
– Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
– Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
– Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
6) Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
7) Flash complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while

Luego ya hice todo lo que decía.
Pero yo no hice un backup, así que perdí la configuración y datos.
En principio, con lo que te viene puedes funcionar perfectamente, yo me instalé algunas más, pero siempre las tengo que instalar, no vienen de serie.
Siento ponértelo aquí, que no sé como se pone en otra parte.

I've just updated to newest version. So far, it is indeed still 1,5gb internal memory, wifi 6-8m+> from router, still shows a connection (1 or 2 stripes) but is bloody slow (just like previous rom) I tend to use 3g upstairs in my own home. So far, no real fixes spotted. Will try gps tomorrow or so, but expect no change either. Anyways, Thanks to tommy for making the update
