Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6582_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

But your antenna is still too weak.
One of a solution is to remove the black painting on the antenna. BUT BE CAREFULL IT IS REALLY RISKY cause if you go too fast or too far you will damage the antenna which is very thin and glued to the painting.

An other issue on this phone :
sometime the "touch" screen frozen so I cannot use the phone.
the display is still working fine and refreshing fine but the touch is not usable…
this can be for few seconds, few minutes or for ever (so I have to remove the battery)

About frozen screen. I have the same. Try to press power button twice to switch off the screen and on again. It should help ad hoc….
Yes, often frozen screens. Also a crappy cam, witch is easily beaten by my 2mp Sony Ericsson (6 years old). 8mb cam, what a laugh! No 2200 battery but only 2000.
Apps do shut off at random, sound is bad. I made a big mistake
…I don't have frozen screens so often, also don't have apps shut off at random, maybe this 2 problems have the same cause. I still have the original not rooted P2
Battery only 2000 instead of declared 2200. Camera could be improved with the free software Camera360 because the default camera sw has too much compression.
Anyway I'm not happy of the phone as well, gps is the worst to me
I read the forum posted by lolhangman and I tried scratching some of the paint from the gps antenna. For me it seems that it improved the signal just enough to make my gps usable. It gets a fix much faster and from more antennas, altough the signal strength in the window is still in the orange range with GPS Test.
Yep, too bad we got the November or former versions. But it's important to precise that my other W450 (ordered at the same time) is working perfectly fine.
No freezes for me, whereas I'm spending a big part of my time playing (Real Racing 3, Fieldrunners 2, GTA San Andreas, etc.). Never had crashes either. Have you tried to install another Android version ? (the ones provided here). If it keeps freezing, it must be an hardware issue, and I cannot but recommend you to send it back.
And about the camera, I find the quality good enough, especially for that price. It's better than my Haipai X720D.
The funny thing is that one of my W450 has a 2MP rear camera instead of a 8MP (but the quality is still fine). That's pretty crazy! Ah, those Chinese… XD
And if you want to improve the quality of your shots, download apps such as Photo Studio PRO and PicShop. The latter being more useful.
As said, I have an unbranded phone. My phone looks very different from the pic send by Lolhangman. Don't now where the antenna is exactly, but it must be at the top. I can see this little (copper?) 1 mm thingy, that must be it…no paint though
Ok maybe some good news. Today I went for a walk in the woods. I tried my GPS, but nothing even showed. Then, after half an hour, I walked to an open spot. I removed the back of the phone, and in about 2 minutes I had several fixes. Now here's the best imo: I put the backcover back on the phone and put the W45 in a pocket of my jacket. After some time I looked at my phone and found 9 fixes out of 12 visible sats! And it stayed that way until I was back at my car! Then again, there was not a cloud in sight, a clear blue sky. I hope some of you can confirm my findings!
