GPU overclock (works on some A820):
Currently it is only supported via init.d script
Go to /system/etc/init.d and open 00proton with a text editor
Uncomment and change desired value (all values are explained in the script)
Save and make sure the file has correct permissions
Reboot device
You can verify if the GPU frequency have changed in /proc/gpufreq/gpufreq_var_dump
Installation:
If you're currently using one of my DEV roms, it is recommended to do a clean install
It is recommended to use my TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery (install via Rashr from PlayStore on phone or from FlashTools on PC)
Copy zip on sdcard and optional GApps package and reboot to recovery
Do a full backup of your current ROM including nvram block (IMPORTANT)
Wipe system, data and cache from TWRP. The script does not do automatic format.
Install ROM zip and GApps (optional)
Reboot system (first boot takes time)

Hi Infrared. I’m trying to instal this rom but in aroma installer I saw only the logo is instaled and then in a second the instalation is finished. At the reboot it remain at logo picture. What I am doing wrong? Should I revert the partition size at the original size? All my respect for your hard work. Thank you
Aroma installer? There's no aroma instsller for this rom. Maybe you're installing the kernel (v2.2) only.
What if I didn't do backup of NVRAM before flashing the ROM? Now I lost IMEI and Baseband Version, what can I do?
Probably you’ve to buy a new device!
Anyone got SL4A and Python for A. working with KK?
Worked fine on JB:
Changed now from JB to KK: This is AMAZING!
I've wiped system, data and cache again and the instalation succeeded without any aroma installer as you said. Maybe was a reminiscence from lambda 2.4.1 rom. Thank you.
ROM is great but not multilingual. Any chance to add Finnish lang.?
Yes, there's Finnish in framework resources. Will include it in the next version.
Here's the list of languages. If anyone wants one of them, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for values-fi,values-fi-rFI. The ROM is far better that JB, everything works fine.
Even battery drain is lesser compared to any other ROM had before.
ROM works perfectly fine, had to format because repartition was causing problems, but now it's OK, so thank you infrared and keep up the good work!
Hi infrared, good ROM. Love the trustable score. Thanks for your hard work!
One thing I noticed is that the automatic brightness seems to be quite low. Any possibility of increasing the default values a bit?
Then it will be too bright on my screen
There are different screens on A820s, people have different eyes and on top of that the light sensor is not accurate at all (especially in low light conditions), so I'm afraid it can't be made perfect for everyone. There always will be someone who doesn't like it no matter how I change it. For some it will be too bright, for some too dark.
Awsome! Thanks for your work.
Thank you infrared!
I found two particular problems:
1) after evening poweroff scheduled power on doesn't wake my phone in the morning,
2) Lenovo headset button works strange – combines play/pause/screen on/off and doesn't work during the call. Standard (?) is press to play, press to pause , double press to skip, long press to Google search/or command action, press to pick up the call, press to hold the call, long press to disconnect. I used Keytest to see button press is mapped to PLAY_PAUSE instead HEADSETHOOK.
Overall (to warn next users) I was unable to install KK after having Lambda meteos treated (with internal mem. disabled to see my SD card) – IMEI gone (reassigning in EngeeneeringMode / restore in TWRP / copying nvram via Terminal – unsuccessful, FlashTool needed).
1. I can't reproduce it. Do you turn it off manually or do you rely on automatic power off? Maybe you need to flash new preloader, because it works on mine.
2. I know headset is not configured correctly and will take a look, however I don't have such a headset to test. Same applies to bluetooth headsets.
3. That is true. Devices with repartitioned memory have problems and some lose IMEI. So complete backup is a must. It is also good if you can write down on paper both IMEI, BT and WIFI addresses. Unfortunately, the restore only works with FlashTool. Can you give me more info about this… could you fix your phone by flashing nvram only? Or you have to do full flash?
Also, yesterday I was unable to repartition my phone after full format and stock rom flash with every method available – it was either no change or corrupted emmc. So I had to recompile a full rom for FlashTools with different partition table and now it works.
So I'm looking for easiest way of reparitioning which I can give people using my rom. Currently I have 900MB system and 2.3GB internal storage, but can make any combination.
For the headsethook, can you try changing one value in /system/usr/keylayout/ACDET.kl?
Change key 164 MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE to key 164 HEADSETHOOK
