For full kernel changelog, visit my github repo: https://github.com/infraredbg/Lenovo_A820_kernel_kk
GPU overclock (works on some A820):
Currently it is only supported via init.d script
Go to /system/etc/init.d and open 00proton with a text editor
Uncomment and change desired value (all values are explained in the script)
Save and make sure the file has correct permissions
Reboot device
You can verify if the GPU frequency have changed in /proc/gpufreq/gpufreq_var_dump
Installation:
If you're currently using one of my DEV roms, it is recommended to do a clean install
It is recommended to use my TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery (install via Rashr from PlayStore on phone or from FlashTools on PC)
Copy zip on sdcard and optional GApps package and reboot to recovery
Do a full backup of your current ROM including nvram block (IMPORTANT)
Wipe system, data and cache from TWRP. The script does not do automatic format.
Install ROM zip and GApps (optional)
Reboot system (first boot takes time)

Thank you, @infrared !!!
Great rom. I like it very much, it's really smooth. Incredibly fast when installing or starting an app. Now I have the 1.0.2 with the 2.55 uv-zram kernel. A little thing i miss is that in the Vibrate audio mode, the phone doesn't vibrate when pressing the touch buttons. Is it possible to enable?
And the last thing, do you recommend to install the newest kernels? the one only wit the "boot.img" file, it has to be flashed with the "images" option into the TWRP and then flask to the boot or how?
Many thanks for your time and your support, you've done a greeeat job and help us a lot. I'm going to give you a little donation, I pay your next coffee!!
First of all thanks for the kind words!
As for the haptic feedback on the capacitive buttons – it should work, unless you have taken some test version of the kernel.
I remember there was one kernel with new touchpad driver, where vibration was not working.
Anyway, I'm working on a new version with fixed battery consumption when the phone is idle and some more improvements, plus all security kernel patches.
I've also bought A830 to properly support both models. Waiting for A820e too.
The haptic buttons works perfectly, but the vibration when you press them can't be enabled when the "Vibrate" audio profile is selected, that's what I meant. I like to have that audio profile enabled, but with the vibration of the buttons too, that's how i had it with the previous rom. But it's not a bug itself, only an unselectable configuration. Great work
Hi, I would like to install TWRP Recovery 2.8.4.0. I do not dream about anywhere. Please help. Where can it be found?

Hi everybody,
I make a mistake, i dont know update a rom (I am a beginer), and i just download from this page the file A820-PROTON.KK.V1.0.2 OTA.zip in my phone, and follow a small tutorial from youtube. I just did the wipes, and try to update the rom selecting that file from internal memory. Now my phone dont start, it try to start but shows an icon but dont work.
Now I am trying to follow the guide Install_and_restore_guide.pdf but I couldn't find in this page the files: Recovery_TWRP_2.8.4.0_A820_v1.1.img, SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119.7z and LenovoUsbDriver_1.0.0.exe, the full stock S139 rom and the KK upgrade package (lenovo_a820_S319 и lenovo_a820_kk_upgrade), Proton_KK_Repart_Tool_v1.0.zip and a_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20150221-signed.zip.
Can someone help me please?. Or any Idea to recover my phone?

Hello Infrared, some progress?
Hello Infrared,
When will you launch the release version of Kernel boot-A820-2.57 ?
Thanks a lot for your answers Kriss7475!.
The next week i'll try to do something new reading the info from the link that you share… About the actual situation of the movil, I could arrive to the factory mode (volume+power) to this chinese menu, and I can view this info:
But here, i don't have any idea about that I can do. Could you tell me if I have some alternative to recover the phone in this situation?…
Thanks a lot!
Hi Dorafa,
I recommend you to read the whole guideline which is written by infrared before you are going to flash your phone.
The important steps are to backup IMEI, WIFI MAC and BT MAC. Since there are some feedbacks from this forum that their phones were lost IMEI info. That's why infrared wrote the guideline for us in detail.
As for the driver and flash tools, infrared has posted them in his previous Lambda project.
https://www.needrom.com/downlo.....lenovo-a820-12/
As for your posted screen snapshots, it means to display / check your mobile phone.
It seem you have not flash the twrp recovery yet. Again, plesae read and follow the infrared's guide step by step.
I am confident that you can flash your A820 to KK Proton successful.
Is it ok to install this if I only have 2.4.4.0 TWRP version? BTW been using Lambda for years, thanks for great firmware.
