GPU overclock (works on some A820):
Currently it is only supported via init.d script
Go to /system/etc/init.d and open 00proton with a text editor
Uncomment and change desired value (all values are explained in the script)
Save and make sure the file has correct permissions
Reboot device
You can verify if the GPU frequency have changed in /proc/gpufreq/gpufreq_var_dump
Installation:
If you're currently using one of my DEV roms, it is recommended to do a clean install
It is recommended to use my TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery (install via Rashr from PlayStore on phone or from FlashTools on PC)
Copy zip on sdcard and optional GApps package and reboot to recovery
Do a full backup of your current ROM including nvram block (IMPORTANT)
Wipe system, data and cache from TWRP. The script does not do automatic format.
Install ROM zip and GApps (optional)
Reboot system (first boot takes time)

Does anyone know if there is there a way to have the dropdown menu with shortcuts, as the previous JB ROM did? Does it have to be using an Xposed module or something?
In Xposed Gravitybox you can customize pull down bar behavior and shortcuts.
Thanks – works well!
So is the consensus that the camera is NOT taking pictures as well as the JB ROM?
Hi Infrared
Netflix works well without any distortion on my phone. Repeat: in JB there was a problem, but on kk there isn't and it works perfectly.
Using your kk now for 1 week. It is really good, but trying to be constructive I spotted two small issues:
- SMS can't be restored from the stock "backup and restore" app. It does as if it is restoring, my 1500 sms are being copied somewhere, but the messaging app show nothing. It would be great if there was a way to restore them, even if I need a 3rd party app. My wife is a bit angry after I installed kk for her but left her without any sms left!
- My phone turned itself off twice this week, not sure why. I have xposed with many modules + automagic doing lots of things in the background, so I'm not convinced the problem is with the ROM. Could anyoneconfirm if their phones reboot or turn themselves off ramdomly (but rarely)?
Great job, I was about to change phone but will keep it til it dies.

demenicis I had the same problem with sms so using android backup/restore was not an option i restored my textra backup from titanum backup that worked for me it restored the app with sms and i made it default for sms the problem i am having is using textra sms are not marked as read i have to delete new sms or when the next restart of the phone you will get alert for read sms as if it wasnt marked as read
I use Super Backup every time I change roms, it works flawlessly.
Thanks chaps. However the only backup I have at the moment was done from the JB ROM, using the stock backup and restore tool.
Now I need to either make the "equivalent" kk tool being able to restore the saved SMSs or to find an app that understands the files produced by the JB tool and that can restore them on the kk ROM.
Cheers
D.
reinstall the JB ROM, restore SMS, back them up using my app, install this ROM and voila
well, I was trying to avoid having to do that due to the amount of time it will require, but I might have to!
I'll just wait to see if infrared can come up with one of his magical tricks though.
Thanks
You’ll fix your sms’s with nandroid manager,

hopefully works!
Unbelievable mate. It works! And better, the cwm backup I had was newer than that one I did from the stock app.
I’m so great full. Thanks
I can’t start home button unlock device I tried @jwchen119 method with root explorer and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong it’s just not working for me. Second thing is very uncomfortable for me. How I can set volume key as camera shutter? Can someone help me solve that’s problems?
You have to goto Setting->Proton->check the Home unlock device.
Now you can "unlock" the device at lockscreen by press home key.
And about the volume key to trigger camera shutter, you have to use 3rd party apps to achieve the function.
I recommend Camera FV-5 for better quality and you can edit the volume function in app.
