DESCRIPTION
This is a custom KitKat rom for Lenovo A820 compiled from source.
It took me a lot of time to get it to this stage, so if you're porting to another device or do some mods, please have respect and give proper credits to original author.

Added patch for WPA2 vulnerability. Install from recovery, then wipe cache and dalvik. Reboot.

ART is not working, so it is disabled. Could not solve this problem.

GPU overclock (works on some A820):
Currently it is only supported via init.d script
Go to /system/etc/init.d and open 00proton with a text editor
Uncomment and change desired value (all values are explained in the script)
Save and make sure the file has correct permissions
Reboot device
You can verify if the GPU frequency have changed in /proc/gpufreq/gpufreq_var_dump
Installation:
If you're currently using one of my DEV roms, it is recommended to do a clean install
It is recommended to use my TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery (install via Rashr from PlayStore on phone or from FlashTools on PC)
Copy zip on sdcard and optional GApps package and reboot to recovery
Do a full backup of your current ROM including nvram block (IMPORTANT)
Wipe system, data and cache from TWRP. The script does not do automatic format.
Install ROM zip and GApps (optional)
Reboot system (first boot takes time)

Camera shutter button doesn't work all the time. Instead camera just tries to focus "behind" the shutter button – so it seems that touch screen is working just fine. Restarting camera-app solves this problem, but it's quite annoying if you're in hurry. Any idea what to do?
I cant find anywhere s139 stock firmware to follow the step by step guide to install that rom.

Just installed.
Backed up nvram, and the system.
Installed via TWRP 2.8.4.0 v1.1 customized for a820:
1. The rom
2. First OTA
3. Second OTA
Didn't repartitioned the space… because did that before, when i was out of space, with an apk named something like 'mtk6589 repartition tool'..
Seems that this repartition schema worked just fine, because all installed and working good.
No problems with IMEI or mac adresses..
Will write a feedback later…
Do you plan to add Russian? Or is it there around same, but Russian lang ROM?

On the beining I would like to say big THANKS for this ROM – is amazing, but I have bluetooth problem…
I am using 'fitness bracelet' on bluetooth and after 2-3 hours, the bluetooth is frozen (cannot disable/ebable etc. and no communication) – after restart is good for 2-3 hours… any ideas, pleasae?
I have 2 A820 with the same soft and the same issue.
Bracelet is working fine on other android phones (Samsung, GoClever).

Hey, is not that before I did not write. But I have a problem with receiving MMS messages. I need to enable the transmission of data in order to have downloaded the MMS. Not downlaoded automatically downloads messages. On the other ROMs it worked.

Where could i get lenovo_a820_S319 and lenovo_a820_kk_upgrade, as they are needed in the step-by-step manual, but I cant seem to find them anywhere.

first of all I want to thank for this excellent rom!
Secondly, I’ve had some problems with sd card which keeps “removing by itself” often and I have to reboot phone to get the sd card working again. Has anyone else had these problems so could they be rom/kernel related?
Thirdly, I’m interested to know if there is any updates coming anymore and if yes, how soon?
Hi, I never had card disconnected "by itself" in my A820 but I have such problem with 16 GB sd card in another phone. I'm just exchanging cards, will see how it works in my A820.
I'm working on Redmi Note 2 rom at the moment, but I've uploaded test 4.4.4 version for A820 on my GoogleDrive.
There's one bug though – HTML5 canvas element. Will see if I can fix it, but priorities had shifted towards the new phone.
I will still release the V1.0.3 update for the 4.4.2 rom, but I can't promise deadline anymore.

exchanging cards solved my problem – both cards working. Probably just cleaning the card would be enough. I'm sure your problem isn't rom related.
Thx for the tip Artek. Still, that didn't help so I think the problem is in the sdcard itself. It just that I had sdcard before this and it got broken too. So in short time two sdcards stopped working. Probably it is just a coinsicidence.
Now my problem is the small internal storage. I tried to partition it and succeed after some failures. But when I try to backup my files with Titanium backup it said no disk space. Have I done something wrong when I repartitioned the phone or is this normal?
